I had a bit of trouble checking in. The booking page didn't have any warnings, so I booked a smart deluxe queen room, only to find out it was right next to the elevator. Since I'm a light sleeper and worried about the elevator noise, I asked to switch rooms. I was told that all smart deluxe queen rooms are next to the elevator, meaning all rooms at that price point are the 03-type right by the elevator. The communication was extremely unpleasant. The manager responded almost mockingly and sarcastically, as if requesting a room change was me trying to get a better deal (when in reality, I had no idea that all rooms of this type were next to the elevator). So, I directly upgraded to another room type on the Trip.com order page, only to be told it wasn't ready for occupancy yet because cleaning wasn't finished. After going up and down several times with my luggage, I finally lost my temper, and only then was I successfully checked in. Service: The attitude was truly terrible. As for why I stayed despite being so angry? Of course, it was to leave a review and tell all future guests: if you're a light sleeper, don't choose the deluxe queen (they're all next to the elevator). The manager is fierce and picks on those who are easygoing, so if you're unhappy, just argue. Being tolerant won't solve the problem.
