Pinheju | Yunlai Homestay (Dongguan Street Branch)

It was pretty good until its not. Booked 2 nights stay, first night was okay. We had the floor mat 4 cleaned towels, new slippers. We were utterly disappointed with the amenities and service on night 2. New towels instead of 4, was only given 1 piece. And we were then given 1 piece of disposable towel which is not even enough to dry even a toddlers body. Hair conditional and shampoo was not topped up. We were really excited to for our stay until we weren’t. Even toilet floor mat was removed and wasn’t replaced. They held no upmost responsibility until we WeChat them and asked why the double standard??? Then they said cause there weren’t enough towels and they weren’t aware we didn’t have the ”practice” to use disposable towels. Bruh? If you didn’t have enough shampoo and towels mats then don’t accept our 2 nights booking. We came with the trust that you had all these and it wasn’t even cheap for 1 night. What was I paying for? Service was bad, they didn’t even inform up front until we asked at night. What happens and who’s gonna hold responsibility when one of us falls in the bathroom. And take note the door will only cover your body however there’s a leak in between and has no privacy if someone you’re staying with sits in the living room. They can see you directly. Even the wooden door wasn’t screwed tightly. Not a very bad stay however experience honestly wasn’t good. Even the bedsheet has blood stains. Sadly I don’t have the photos anymore. Trust me with the price we can stay in better hotels or pay lesser with better stays.

Overall okay, but there is an unpleasant smell for the room we booked, so we asked for a change. They were kind enough to offer the other available room for change.

The staff were incredibly attentive and made me feel truly welcome throughout my stay. Their coffee is excellent, and the sweetest little kitten adds such a warm, homely touch to the place. The manager also gave me fantastic recommendations for local restaurants, which I really appreciated. My room was very comfortable, with everything I needed. The hotel itself is perfectly located in a quiet, pleasant setting — ideal for relaxing while still being close to everything. I absolutely loved my stay here and would recommend it a thousand times over!

Amazing room, amazing location. The people working in the hotel are very nice. Foreigner friendly.
