Orange Hotel (Yantai Penglai Pavilion Haiqing Plaza)

Excellent service and a great location! It snowed during my stay, and the front desk staff even helped me with my luggage. The location is perfect, within walking distance to Penglai Pavilion. Downstairs, they offer hot tea and snacks, and there's a mall right next door, making it convenient to get anywhere. Penglai in the snow was absolutely beautiful, I'm already missing it! 😍❤️👍👍👍👍👍 The room was very clean and had a large dining area! The soundproofing was also excellent! Highly recommend! The location is great, within walking distance of Penglai Pavilion. There are also many nearby shopping malls, making it a city center hotel. Cleanliness: Clean, the hotel is new. Ambience: Average. Service: Very good, and the price difference was refunded.

The room was nice and clean. The location was also great, and it was quiet at night. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here.

After much deliberation, I settled on this Orange, which just opened in 2025. I assumed a Huazhu Club hotel would be good, but I was completely surprised. I've stayed at Huazhu hotels before, and I never lost my Huazhu membership benefits just because I booked with Ctrip. I asked to rebook with Huazhu, but they wouldn't let me, saying it would be considered a steal and Ctrip would penalize me! I was told to wait during check-in, saying they'd do a pre-check. But upon entering, the floor was sticky with shoes, and it hadn't been mopped or dried, not to mention the fact. When I returned from a trip with my kids, they wanted to shower, and the floor towel was filthy. I think they simply refused to replace it, no matter how I explained. Although they offered a 100 yuan refund as compensation, I still reserve the right to review honestly. The hotel's negotiating attitude was either a 100 yuan refund or a change of hotel. Why didn't they first investigate the situation and offer a sincere apology? Instead, it felt like they were just trying to get me to move. How could the price I booked a week ago be the same as the price I booked today? You're offering compensation? Using the fact that we're a franchise as an excuse to waive membership benefits is pure quibbling! I've lived in hotels for so many years, and this is the first time I've encountered a situation like the one in the review pictures! Bad review!!!

Environment: It's quite close to the beach, within walking distance. We arrived late at night, just using it as a temporary hotel for rest, and requested an extended check-out, but were told it wasn't possible, probably due to the peak season and large number of tourists. If you're visiting Penglai, you can explore the surrounding area. It's close to the beach. I only realized Penglai is a small county town when I arrived, so there aren't many high-rise buildings. If you have enough time, you can walk around. Those who like the sea will find it nice. Service: It's okay, considering it's a Huazhu Club hotel, the basic service is acceptable, but you can't expect too much from a budget hotel. The bed was the perfect firmness, and the pillows were good. I was quite satisfied with that. The room didn't have a strange renovation smell, so it was acceptable. However, because it's facing the street, the soundproofing is a bit poor. I was woken up in the morning by noise and found the window was open. Closing it made it a little better. A good thing about the hotel is that the TV can be projected, which the children liked.
