Crowne Plaza YANTAI SEA VIEW by IHG

This five-star hotel offers incredible value for money, and it's right by the sea. It can get a bit chilly in winter, with rooms facing the ocean being 1-2 degrees colder than average. My only complaint is that the breakfast seems to be getting simpler and simpler!

The hotel offers fantastic views along the coastline. The circular restaurant on the 47th floor (top floor) provides an excellent 360-degree panoramic view of Yantai, making it the best breakfast experience I've had.

The hotel service was good, and the lounge had a great view. Feily asked about our stay experience, and my suggestion is that the pool's operating hours need to be extended. After being out all day, the pool is basically unusable in the evening.

After visiting Yangma Island, we took the scenic coastal road for about 20 kilometers, a quick 20-minute drive, to reach the Crowne Plaza Yantai Nanshan. Although the hotel has some age, the facilities are very well maintained; both the rooms and public areas are clean and tidy. The hotel is located on the beachfront near Yantai University, and the north-facing rooms offer unbeatable sea views and expansive tree-lined vistas. It's not too far northwest from Fisherman's Wharf, Binhai Square, and Paotaishan, and just over a kilometer south leads to the lively area of Laishan District. We chose Rongxiang Seafood for dinner, which was incredibly delicious and affordable – Yantai's seafood truly lives up to its reputation! The breakfast at Crowne Plaza Nanshan is also commendable, with a wide variety and excellent quality. They even had freshly made and cooked mackerel dumplings; though not as large as Rongxiang's, they were just as tasty. This five-star hotel offers four-star prices, making the Crowne Plaza Yantai Nanshan our top choice for our next visit to Yantai Laishan!
