I was quite satisfied, especially with the breakfast. The common areas are very spacious, and it wasn't cold staying there in winter. I also visited another branch of Zhulan. I'll definitely come back again. Very good! 👍👍

Cute place for an“authentic” stay at a traditional Chinese courtyard house. House and art are beautiful! Midway between Hongcun and Xidi which was nice. Just a lot of mosquitoes!

Honestly, this hotel isn't great and definitely not worth the price. The value for money is just not there. You have to run the hot water for about half an hour before it actually gets hot, which is ridiculous. The pillows are incredibly uncomfortable; for a hotel charging over 500, you'd expect memory foam or latex pillows, but theirs... well, it's a long story. The hairdryer is an antique too. Besides the fact that it's a century-old building, there's nothing else special about it. Plus, it's about a 10-minute walk to the village. I definitely won't be staying here again!

What an amazing stay! The setting is outstanding - a tourist destination but much quieter than nearby Hongcun, and the house is maintained in such a special way. Staff are friendly and helpful. The furnishings are wonderful - it's very comfortable and homely. A particularly highlight is breakfast and the dinners we had at the hotel - the food is absolutely outstanding. Also wonderful to be able to use the hotel bicycles on the recently completed cycle route around various local villages, wonderful way to see the area. Strongly strongly recommend!

Pig's Inn is a charming little hotel in a beautiful original building - the spaces are just incredible and endlessly photogenic. The village of Bishan itself is very quaint, still inhabited by locals but with a few cafés and bars, design stores and a wonderful bookshop. The breakfast and dinner at the hotel are fabulous - we had dinner here twice. We stayed here for two nights in January, as most of the spaces are open, the hotel was a little chilly, but we were very cosy in front of the fireplace in the living area. Very happy we chose to stay in the small village of Bishan rather than the beautiful, but more touristy villages of Xidi or Hongcun. There are bikes and it was easy to get a Didi to visit the surrounding villages.
