Xufu Hotel

Location: Situated in the old town, there are so many affordable and delicious local eateries nearby – every single one was fantastic! Golden Hook Wontons, Koufu Yuan, Siyuan Restaurant – I simply couldn't get enough! Ambiance: The facilities are relatively new. Hygiene: There was a sock from the previous guest left in the laundry basket... it wasn't cleaned for the two days I stayed 😅. I also had to ask for bottled water on the second day as it wasn't replenished promptly. These small details could use more attention, but overall, I was quite satisfied. It's very convenient as you can walk to several attractions in the city center!

I genuinely want to review this hotel, it completely exceeded my expectations, a truly excellent hotel. The service was warm and friendly; they helped with luggage during both check-in and check-out. Parking was also convenient. The room facilities were complete, and the room was clean. It's a pet-friendly hotel; I brought my cat, and they even prepared a pet breakfast, which was a pleasant surprise. Hotel breakfast is served until 12:00, and the quality of the dishes is consistently maintained (I went for breakfast at 11:00, and there was still a rich variety of food). I've traveled for business and leisure across most of China, and this is the first hotel I've encountered that offers such late breakfast hours (I spent a month driving in Xinjiang, and even with the time difference, the latest breakfast I found was 11:00). This definitely deserves a thumbs-up. For a late riser like me, it couldn't be more perfect. If I ever visit Yibin again, I will definitely stay here.

1. Very close to Daguan Pavilion and the 'Big Earth' (Global Palace/Exhibition Center), with convenient transportation! 2. The front desk staff and the housekeeping ladies were all very nice! 3. Breakfast is served until noon, with 'ranmian' (spicy noodles) that aren't too spicy and are very well-made!

I think the hotel breakfast being served until 12 PM is the biggest selling point, and it's not because I'm a glutton! This trip, I was traveling with my elderly mother, and for seniors with dental issues, the diverse and nutritious breakfast perfectly met her needs. The cleanliness and service were also excellent. In the evening, I even went to the gym on the fifth floor for a run.

The Xufu Hotel is located right in the city center, just a short walk from Daguan Tower and Guanying Ancient Street. The new Chinese-style decor is simple yet elegant, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and well soundproofed. The front desk staff are friendly and provide meticulous service. The breakfast offers a rich variety, including local specialties, and there's a gym and self-service laundry room available. It's a quiet oasis amidst the bustle, making it convenient for getting around and finding food. This hotel offers excellent value for both business and leisure travelers.

I rebooked for another night on the second evening. I was originally thinking of changing places, but since this one was pretty good, I decided to stay another night. However, I felt the cleanliness wasn't quite as good as the first day – there was dust on the cabinets and a lot of lint in the toilet. Everything else was fine though.

Mediocre experience overall. The air conditioning was very noisy and didn't cool the room below 21 degrees Celsius. The green light on the control panel couldn't be turned off, which was quite bothersome and dazzling at night while trying to sleep. The room itself was tiny, and the amenities and supplies were very basic. I don't understand why they charge 300-400 for this. Also, it's summer, so they really shouldn't be providing fuzzy slippers anymore. As someone who works in a similar industry, I don't get why the front desk staff has to stand the entire shift. What's wrong with giving them a couple of chairs to sit on and having them stand up when guests arrive to check-in?

For my trip to Southeast Sichuan this time, Nanchong and Yibin hotels left a fantastic impression on me. The experience was excellent, comparable to five-star standards in big cities. Next time I visit cities like these, I'll definitely choose the best local hotels again.
