King Lo-Tong Hotel Reviews

The hotel's exterior looked a bit old, but the room itself was very clean, even the bathroom, as if it had been recently renovated. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and helpful. For breakfast, we had Mos Burger, which was a bit disappointing as it wasn't freshly stir-fried vegetables or congee. Despite that, I would still choose to stay here again next time.

The room door is as thin as a cicada's wing, and the bedside table is home to a million ants...

Right downstairs is the Luodong Night Market, and there's a FamilyMart convenience store. The price is affordable and the room is quite spacious. Parking, however, is about a 1.5 km walk away. Since it's a busy area, there's no parking available directly, so you have to use their designated parking lot.

The location is excellent, a solid 10 out of 10. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. As for cleanliness, it's an older property, so it's acceptable, nothing outstanding but not bad either.

The window air conditioner was very slow to cool, and the soundproofing wasn't great either; I could constantly hear music from downstairs. The bathroom water pressure was also very low. On the plus side, the service was decent, and free parking was available (though it was a bit of a walk away). Most importantly, Luodong Night Market is right downstairs and incredibly convenient.

This was my second stay at this affordable hotel. They offer 6-person rooms, which are perfect for family trips. Although the facilities are a bit dated, the place is clean and well-maintained. The water pressure was a bit weak, but tolerable. My only disappointment was that the included Chinese breakfast was temporarily replaced with a $65 Mos Burger voucher, which required us to go to a designated Mos Burger outlet and pay extra to redeem. Overall, given its convenient location near Luodong Night Market and the availability of free parking, the hotel offers excellent value for money. The savings mean we can indulge in more local snacks, making it highly suitable for budget-conscious families.

The hotel is on the 8th level of a building- took us a while to find. Otherwise, right smack at the start of the night market. Many eateries around. Hotel gives off an old vibe and furniture looked like they belong to the 70s. Clean nonetheless. Bathtub was broken and had a huge tape to cover. May still consider next time due to location.

The place was clean enough, but very outdated. Had free parking and ok breakfast, literally at an entrance of the night market. However, it smelled musty and moldy. So that trumps everything. We stayed since it was “just” one night. Cannot stay there again for this reason…

It has a distinctly old-school, nostalgic hostel feel. However, the hotel's location is absolutely fantastic; just head downstairs and turn the corner, and you're right at the entrance of Luodong Night Market. If you don't mind the somewhat dated decor, it's definitely worth considering.
