Glamping in China I loved the business project in whole, it’s brilliant, location, gorgeous view of sugarloaf mountains, air quality, forest and wildlife + real tea plantations and the general idea of connecting the ancient tradition of tea making and enjoying with the family outdoors and holiday activities. But. When it comes to the reality and routine you face the challenges and imperfections. First, I booked the tent with the request to accommodate my family far from other visitors and traffic. Unfortunately, we were given a tent that literally was situated at the main road with doors opened to the public route, while all other tents oriented towards the tea plantation. We were disappointed, because at another tent we were asked to add 100 yuan more, since it was equipped with a bathroom. More than that, it was booked too, so instead of nice stay 3 days/nights at one place, we had to move out next noon, wait for the check -in at around 13 pm and settle again at another tent. I deeply appreciate the efforts the manager made to please us. But I wish we could skip all that unnecessary waste of time, not mentioning packing luggage of 4 people for 2-3 times. Next complication is about Chinese culture being close to each other- tents are located side by side, 8 tents all reserved, lots of kids, all noisy, all moving at the same spot+ other visitors freely enter the area and it adds to the crowds. So we had a complete silence only after 11 pm and from the early morning it was already packed with new travelers. The heaters are great, yet also noisy, the bathroom is beautiful and modern, even with dyson alike hair dryer, but users don’t care about others, don’t close the shower cabin while washing, so the entire room becomes a marsh. We enjoyed our breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner at the hotel restaurant , the food and service was outstanding ! There’s great quality bedding , linen is awesome, mattresses and pillows are fantastic . All amenities are of a premium quality, just like at the 5 * hotel. Electric car shuttles are helpful and always there for you. But the best part of the place is its tea, black tea, it’s a splendor ! We drank it for 3 days and it’s never enough , so good. Make sure you buy some to get home. Local ice cream with the milk tea flavor is one of a kind!

Our two days at T Manor Tent camp were very enjoyable, with lots of peaceful walks through the plantation and some spectacular sunsets seen from our glamping tent and from the viewing area at the top of the hill which looks out over the karst-studded landscape. Our tent was located down below which was less spectacular than the tents on the hill but also less exposed and a good option. We had great service from the T Manor staff, who set up a WeChat thread so my husband could communicate with us easily as most of them didn’t speak English. One exception was Allen, a tour guide from Taiwan who was very friendly and helpful, especially on the last day when he helped organise a car to take us to our next accommodation a few hours drive away. A special mention must also go to the restaurant staff, who served us a range of tea-infused dishes and patiently went along with our many queries (our daughter is coeliac which made eating in China a little complicated). Thank you T Manor for a serene and friendly experience, we particularly loved listening to the sound of the bees pollinating the tea bushes as we eat on the veranda of our tent and looked out over the plantation.

Overall, the experience was decent. However, there was a power outage while I was showering at night, leaving me standing at the door in the cold. But the staff did resolve the power issue, and I was able to take a shower eventually. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. One less-than-ideal experience was that our room included breakfast for two, but we are a family of three. The staff didn't specify it was for two people, nor did they inform us that we could order an extra meal. I only overheard them discussing it amongst themselves. If I hadn't overheard, I would have had to wait to order an additional meal after the two-person portion. I don't mind paying for an extra meal, but I should have been informed!

The room was great, with all the amenities. It was a truly unique tented camping trip, no wonder it's a must-see in England and Spain. The mountaintop views were stunning, the tea-making experience was excellent, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely come back.

A very bad experience. The three curtains in the bathroom had such a large gap that it was completely unsafe and lacked privacy. The gap between the bathroom and the tent was enormous, so air conditioning couldn't get in at all; the bathroom was like a sauna. There were gaps in the wooden planks under the bathroom carpet, so shampoo and shower gel water just flowed directly onto the ground. The tent is right in front of a tea garden—is this really safe? Won't it affect the tea leaves? Also, the carpet was constantly damp, so it smelled musty. It's supposed to be a courtyard, but where is it? There's not even a small fence, and it's directly connected to the tent next door. Transportation was extremely inconvenient. I couldn't get a taxi at all. An employee helped me find one, quoting 200 yuan. Later, I asked other locals, and they said 200 yuan could get you out of Qingyuan. The staff member told me to wait inside with air conditioning, but then the staff inside said it was against regulations to go in, although they gave me a plastic stool to go outside. So I waited outside in the heat and with lots of mosquitoes for 20 minutes. The afternoon tea was truly disappointing. However, the scenery was absolutely beautiful. We waited for three shuttle buses down the mountain before finally getting a seat, and it took over half an hour. This was on a weekday; I can't believe how long we'd have to wait on weekends and holidays. Service: One or two staff members were particularly helpful, but many were very perfunctory, their eyes glued to their phones, constantly playing on their devices, and unresponsive to being called.

Overall, it was pretty good. Staying at Coco Courtyard was quiet at the foot of the mountain, the staff were friendly, and they did a great job with mosquito prevention. Camping enthusiasts might consider staying there.

The surrounding environment is lovely, quiet and pleasant at night. However, the tent accommodations aren't as well-equipped as hotel rooms, especially the shared bathrooms, which weren't as clean. Nevertheless, it's worth experiencing. Staying in the park allows you to experience tea picking and processing in the mornings, avoiding peak hours, which is definitely worth a try.

The room was very clean and hygienic, the housekeeper was very attentive, the tea garden was large with many varieties of tea trees, I bought some tea leaves to enjoy slowly, the restaurant dishes were excellent, and I even had a tea tree face mask done.
