Hotel JAL City Kannai Yokohama Reviews

The hotel was clean and comfortable, conveniently located near the subway station and a park. Stepping outside, I was greeted by a beautiful view of the sea. The front desk staff were very patient and helpful, assisting me with luggage storage. Communication was a breeze with their translation device. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.

The location is quite convenient, about a 5-minute brisk walk from JR Ishikawacho Station or Nihon-odori Station on the Minatomirai Line. It's also easy to grab a bite to eat since it's right next to Chinatown. The room was very comfortable, but they don't provide drinking water.

Probably my mistake that I did not cross check when identifying pax per room and I was requested to pay extra JPY12000 and finally I paid after some questions. However, I was expecting at least an upgrade or change a room size to be slightly bigger but was told “Same Room” after collected additional JPY12000. The decision is either I walk away with burn of 100% payment or keep my mouth shut and stay with what being given. So, in order not to spoil my family trip, I choose to keep my mouth shut and take whatever given. Will never ever come back to this hotel anymore, sorry if I say I felt like being cheated.

While the location is excellent and the price is low, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The room felt like a poorly maintained 30-year-old apartment, complete with peeling wallpaper and a cramped layout. The breakfast was equally disappointing. Most of the "hot" food, including the signature steamed rice, was served at room temperature. After the first day, I chose to skip it entirely. To make matters worse, the service was cold. When I asked to borrow an umbrella on a rainy day, a staff member dismissively told me I had to buy one for 500 yen. Her attitude made me feel unwelcome, and I certainly won’t be returning.

Great holiday, nice location, nice breakfast. Close to chinatown. Will come again. For those who are driving can reserve the parking from the hotel.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for two nights over a weekend, following a cruise around the Japan Islands. Our rooms were space-compromised, however, all necessary amenities, internet and personal extras were available in-room. Our breakfasts were included and I must say that they were of high quality and abundabce, catering to Japanese and European cultures... though not foods could have been hotter. The location is a good walking distance for the Port area, parks, Chinatown and shopping. Train services are available for destinations further away. Buses are available nearby to go to either Narita or Haneda Airports. Overall, very happy with our stay.

It was decent enough for a one-night stopover. I stayed on the ground floor, and the room came with an en-suite bathroom. There's also a parking lot, though I didn't use it. A basic breakfast was offered. Hope Fukushima recovers soon!

Nice location , near MRT , near bus stop and Yamashita park. The room is nice and clean. Full of facilities.

I booked the hotel at very last minute, but was better than expected. I arrived at night and there were only convenience stores opening nearby. A 24 hour supermarket and Mega Donki is around a 10 minute walk. Close to Chinatown. A few train stations nearby that can take you to Yokohama City Centre or even Tokyo within 45 minutes. For the room, typical Japan size but clean and tidy. For service, do not expect too much. Everything is fine but not extraordinary. 

The hotel is conveniently located near the subway station, and it was only a 20-minute walk to the fireworks festival. Our twin room was quite spacious, clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The staff provided excellent service.

This is an excellent hotel. The facilities are comprehensive and comfortable, and the breakfast is very rich, especially with fresh ingredients.

Very fine hotel. Rooms neat and clean. Bathroom somewhat small but fulfils it purpose well. WiFi was not strong nor stable, as only minus.

The staff were exceptionally polite yet genuinely friendly, and I enjoyed my stay very much. As I was staying for ten days, I asked whether it might be possible to move to a room with a nicer view, as the initial room did not have one. The team kindly accommodated my request without any hesitation, which I greatly appreciated.
