For this price i’d say really nice service. The clean sheets and pillowcases are the most important part for me. They were clean. No insects until you open a window. The size of the room is small ( but i stayed in even smaller rooms in Tokyo, so i’d say enough space for one person and a suitcase). But the location is not perfect. It is indeed super close to the main touristic places and Chinatown, but sadly the people living in this area are not the most polite. Walking around when it got dark felt dangerous. The staff of the hotel is super nice and helpful (helped with my suitcase because the building doesn’t have an elevator.) Sadly, because of the age of the building and people living there (some floors are not part of the hostel) the smell of smoke is strong and staying there for some time makes your clothes and towels smell the same. Despite the fact that linen was perfectly clean, the AC, bathroom fan and toilet windows were not. The soundproofing in the building is terrible (but again, in a hostel in Tokyo it was the same). Also, the lock of the bathroom is great (two locks actually) , and id recommend to have the same for the rooms doors. Current locks are not really trustworthy (no stealing was spotted though!). Overall, a good place if you want to save some money and not planning to spend much time in or go outside at night if you are a girl traveling alone.

Great location! It's near Ishikawacho Station and quite close to Chinatown. Check-in was very easy, and the room facilities were convenient, with everything you need. The shower and toiletries were also handy. Really good.

It's my pleasure to stay here. And everything's very nice and cute. You have your single room in here. Even the bathroom and toilet sharing. And it's very nice to talk with the staff here, they're really cute and nice. And they would be really willing to give you some recommendations for Yokohama city. And this time I forgot to bring my charger and I borrowed the charger from them as well. Oh, you also can ask them to take a cute photo for you. I just personally really like those things. And remember to check their birthday book up, that's really nice to see each day the different birthdays descriptions. I'll be looking forward to staying there again if I visit Yokohama.

This was the worst hotel experience I had during my trip to Japan. There's no elevator, and the hallways are full of mosquitoes. Some machine kept buzzing all night long, so I couldn't sleep at all. The only upside is that the rooms are private.

Booked a Business room. Was cramped but had its own fridge, desk TV and lamp. Shower is no charge 24 hours. You can do some light cooking in the kitchen but knives are not provided nor are condiments and oil. Guys at reception speak a bit of English. Nice cosy old building. Water cooler on the 5th floor free of charge. Good place to crash for a while. JR ishikawa cho station is near.

This hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Ishikawacho Station. First-time guests might find it a bit confusing because check-in and the actual accommodation are in two different buildings. However, the staff at check-in are incredibly patient. They clearly explain where your room is, how to get there, and all the important things you need to know for your stay. What's even better is that they have instructions available in multiple languages, which is very thoughtful. This is my second time staying here, and it's absolutely great!

Location is very near to Motomachi street and Chinatown where you can find many restaurants. The Futon mattress is thin and room is very small. The hostel reception is located on the opposite building.
