We enjoyed our stay. The food and service was lovely. The Malmaison is just a short walk from The Shambles.

Lovely modern hotel, convenient location, very comfortable beds. Breakfast was very nice pay £25 pp which seems a lot but you get a free cocktail which are £12.50 so breakfast was only £12.50

Very convenient, located a short walk from the train station and town. Clean and modern with spacious rooms.

First time in this chain will definitely look to book again in this location and elsewhere. Room facilities and layout great very relaxing. Only issue was a faulty hairdryer which I reported to reception & they apologised. Good location in York for train travellers 5 minutes from the station . Centrally located for key sites. Breakfast was well worth it individually ordered & cooked  worth it. Lovely views from the room river wall and minster

A very modern hotel close to York train station . Everything is perfect except for the light band around the bed is a bit annoying.

The quality of food is quite good, except not many choices are provided at buffet bar on Christmas Day.

Very good location if you are taking train. It was very convenient to find restaurants, convenient stores just around the hotel. The important landmarks, places of interest, walking streets, shopping and eateries are just around 500m away. Spacious room for couple. We liked the very modern interior, tea & coffer, cookies provided daily.

The hotel has a great location, close to the city wall and train station, and there are many Chinese supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious, but the beds in the twin rooms are a bit small.

I arrived at the hotel at 9:30 PM. The blonde receptionist asked for my first and last name and then checked in. Checking in was smooth and I was given a room on the highest floor. The room was well-insulated (though the window wouldn't open, and the air conditioning worked). The double room was spacious, with a 1.8m bed, probably two pushed together, and a comfortable firmness. It was fully equipped with a kettle, a hairdryer (a bit weak), toiletries, a refrigerator, an ironing board, and biscuits and drinking water. The bathroom and toilet had separate wet and dry areas, making them convenient. The interior design was pleasant, but the lighting was a bit off. A magnifying vanity mirror with LED lights was provided. The room was generally dim at night, but that wasn't enough to outweigh the benefits. Location: About a 10-minute walk from the train station (with luggage), the road can be bumpy. York Minster and the city center are both about a 10-minute walk away, which is quite convenient. There's a Starbucks downstairs, and for a larger supermarket, there's an M&S in the city center.

Excellent location! Very close to the train station, within walking distance of the Butcher Street and Railway Museum. The city wall entrance is right next to the hotel. Overall, a very pleasant and convenient stay! 👍🏻
