Oyado Tamayura

It seems like this inn is run by the owner, his wife, and their daughter, and each one of them is incredibly kind and has such a wonderfully positive energy. The dinner and breakfast were by far the best meals I had during my entire trip to Japan. More than any fancy dish, the simple Japanese home-style cooking deeply moved me. The private onsen (hot spring) also had great water and a lovely atmosphere, allowing me to enjoy it repeatedly despite the cold weather. At night, with so many stars around, I could enjoy stargazing and soak in the romantic ambiance. The Japanese-style accommodation and meals I experienced here were more impressive than any high-end hotel, domestic or international.

The host was very welcoming, and the facilities were complete, the environment was clean, and the scenery was beautiful. Breakfast and dinner were available as add-ons; they were quite exquisite and the taste was acceptable. The hot spring water was on the hottest side, but it was very comfortable after a while (because the temperature was low at the time, a hot soak was really needed).

This place was so welcoming, I was so touched. The hot springs were so blissful that I recharged myself, so much so that I went twice! Next time I'm in Yufuin, I'll definitely come here without hesitation. Breakfast and dinner were also perfect. Thank you!

This hot spring inn is really superb, five detached houses have semi-open-air private baths (real spring water), clean and tidy needless to say, the key is humanity! The bossさん and two female staff are very nice, know dd English. One-night-two is family feel, his fried chicken is delicious. Call the hostel the day before check-in and they will come to the station to drive you and only send you back to the station when you leave. Check-in before 5pm, check-out at 10am. Already missed, will be back again!

The rooms have private outdoor hot spring pools, which is very convenient, allowing you to soak anytime. The only downside is that you can only shower outdoors, which can get quite cold in winter. The hotel owners are a very welcoming family. The food is decent, nothing particularly amazing, but still quite tasty. However, there's no hotel shuttle service, which is inconvenient for guests without a car, as waiting for a taxi at the station can be very long. But the hotel will help you call a taxi when you check out, and they also provide cute little gifts (candy and cookies) upon check-out. Overall, it's a very worthwhile hot spring hotel to stay at.

I chose the course that included dinner and breakfast. I was overwhelmed by the volume of the dinner, but the quality of the food was exceptional and it was delicious. Breakfast was also well-made, wasn't it? It was excellent. The open-air bath was also great. The number of times I bathed - six times in the evening and twice in the morning - spoke volumes.
