We stayed here for 5 days and we absolutely loved it! The room was clean and spacious, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The location is also perfect because it’s walking-distance to Douliu Station and essential shops and stores. The free breakfast was also nice because they offer many different options for both for the locals’ and foreigners’ tastes. We will definitely be staying here again! :)

The water pressure was strong and the hot water was plentiful, which was great! The soundproofing was decent, but the people upstairs were still stomping around past midnight. The duvet filling was too thin; I'd suggest replacing it with something thicker. The air conditioning was incredibly loud and noisy, which really affected my sleep! There was a giant pillar in the room that took up a lot of space and made it feel cramped. And there was a constant bad smell coming from the bathroom 😩. I booked a Deluxe Family Room, but it didn't feel deluxe at all; it was more like a standard family room. The only things I really liked were the breakfast and the water pressure. Also, parking cost $150. I knew this before arriving, but I think it's a bit stingy to charge guests for parking when they're already staying at the hotel! Oh, and there was a bidet toilet, but it seemed to be out of order!

The hotel has a great location with plenty of local eateries and restaurants nearby, so you'll never go hungry. The room rates are reasonable, offering excellent value for money. The downside is that the air conditioning in the room was not cold enough and there was a smell of smoke.

I chose the Taixin Hotel for a short business trip because of its excellent location right by the traffic circle, which made it super easy to find. Contrary to some reviews, I didn't notice any musty smell upon check-in, but you can definitely tell the facilities are a bit older. However, they've clearly made an effort to maintain them, even if you can still spot signs of age in less accessible corners or crevices. I found it all acceptable, though. The main drawback was the poor soundproofing; I could hear conversations from neighboring rooms and even further down the hall perfectly clear, and closing doors sounded surprisingly loud, sometimes making me jump. Also, because there's an arcade next door, the smoke smell from downstairs can be quite noticeable. On the plus side, the hotel is only about a five-minute walk from the train station, and there are plenty of dining options and convenience stores nearby. For a short stay, I'd say it's still a decent choice.

This hotel is located in the bustling area of Douliu, making it super convenient for a stroll down Taiping Old Street to shop or grab a bite. It's also close to the train station, and there's even a morning market nearby, so shopping is a breeze. Plus, the price is really good, and the breakfast was surprisingly decent! Definitely my top choice for my next stay in Douliu!

The hotel exterior is quite old, but the rooms are surprisingly new. The air conditioning is good and acceptable. I slept very comfortably. There are many famous restaurants and delicious food nearby. The hotel breakfast is decent. Worth staying again, I would book again.

The soundproofing is terrible; housekeeping staff were vacuuming in the next room at 8 AM, which was incredibly noisy. The good thing is that it's very close to the train station. The buffet breakfast selection and taste were just average.

Tai Sin Hotel is conveniently located next to the roundabout, with its own parking space in front. If there are no spaces available, there is also a public parking lot next door (on the right). It's also not far from the train station. Taiping Old Street is right next door, currently illuminated at night, which is quite beautiful. I happened to be there during my stay when there was a music performance the next day, and a rehearsal tonight. The view from my room was excellent, a pleasant surprise! The room had wooden planks on the floor. The toilet has been upgraded to a bidet toilet, which is great. The breakfast was authentic home-style food: fresh milk, soy milk, coffee… salad, congee, side dishes, stir-fries, small steamed buns, braised pork rice, curry rice, clam soup, and fried sweet potatoes – all very delicious and I loved it. It was an economical and affordable accommodation and light meals.

The room is quite big, and the bed is also big, but one is very soft and the other is very hard. Not a good sleeper. Breakfast is average and it is very close to the train station. It is close to Taiping Old Street, but there are not many people on weekends.
