JI Hotel (Zhangjiagang High Speed Railway Station)

A very comfortable hotel. It's a big brand chain, so the rooms are neat, clean, and look really pleasant. The breakfast is abundant, varied, and healthy. Plus, it's right next to the high-speed rail station, which makes getting around incredibly convenient.

I checked in on March 23rd around 4 PM. The front desk lady kept urging me to sign up for a membership. After I declined, she glanced at my large bag and said, "You can't wash shoes here." I was utterly confused. I wonder, do all Ji Hotel front desk staff have a policy to warn people with big bags about this? Or was I singled out with such a rude comment because I didn't sign up for a membership??? Okay, that was a minor issue. Here's the big one: This hotel has absolutely no stable internet! What era is this? What year was this hotel built? Are you telling me that a hotel in rural Zhangjiagang, costing over 300 RMB a night during the off-season, doesn't even have fast, reliable internet? My colleague and I couldn't even work properly on our laptops, let alone our phones not connecting to Wi-Fi. Our computers were completely unusable for work. We told the front desk multiple times, and their response was, "Our office uses the same network, and other business guests use it too." Right, good one. Finally, the view outside the window was nice, but you'll also be "notified" by the noise from the railway tracks – "Zhangjiagang Station, arrived."

First off, a big thank you to the lovely front desk lady on the 14th! Even though it was nearly midnight, she was incredibly patient, professional, and had such a gentle voice. She really paid attention to my needs and even upgraded my room, worried that the high-speed train might wake me up! The hotel itself was very clean, and the room was spacious. The bed was super soft and comfortable; I slept wonderfully. I'd definitely come back again if I have the chance!
