This hotel is a great choice for a mountain getaway in Zhangjiajie, located just a 10-minute walk from the entrance to the national park, which is especially convenient with the 4-day entry pass included. However, it's worth noting that the hotel is somewhat remote from the city—the taxi ride takes about 40 minutes, and arranging return transportation can be tricky, so it's best to book a transfer in advance.

Old, but nice hotel, with even heated bed. Very close to park entrance. No bean coffe for breakfast was only problem, but as all in china...

Pipaxi hotel is one the best in the area near south gate of zhanggjiajie National Park. Ideally located within 10 min walk to restaurants and the park gate. Very friendly receptionists and exceptional service. Very flavorful breakfast with a lot of options. Particular mention to Du Qing which really assisted us throughout the stay in the hotel. Highly recommend New Pipaxi foe short or long term stays..

The place was extremely close to the south part of Zhangjiajie National Park (walkable), and the hotel is very big with a pool table and a table tennis table. The hotel itself is like a ring that surrounds an inner garden.

We showed up at the hotel pretty late and they let us eat dinner in the hotel restaurant even if it looked like they were closing up. We really liked the rooms. There was a washing machine in every building and we were able to wash our clothes quickly. There were lots of hangers so we could hang our clothes. The hotel had charming decor and was within walking distance of the Zhangjiajie national Park entrance.

One of the best hotel I was in China. Clean, spacious with a nice bathroom. Calm (if you except some other clients/guests). Quite well located because you're near the south entrance of the national park (5-10 min. walk). The staff is nice with a smile. There's a restaurant so you can take your breakfast, your lunch and even your dinner there (breakfast was included in the room price but not the other meals). Be aware that the prices on the english menu are a little higher than those written in chinese (not sure if it's the same food by the way). To get there (Luoguta, where the hotel is), you can take a taxi (or a "grab" taxi) from Zhangjiajiexi (Zhangjiajie West Railway Station) for example (cost 60-80 CNY).Maybe there's also a bus but I'm not sure.

TERRIBLE. Truly terrible. Yes, the hotel is located walking distance from the national park but in my opinion it is not worth it. We had to take a didi for 40 mins just to get food or go to a convenience store- it’s so secluded. Yes, the hotel looks beautiful and serene but looks can be deceiving. At all hours there are noisy children’s and adults and the walls are so thin it sounds like they’re in the room. Also, the cleaning staff knocked on the door early in the morning 3 TIMES despite the Do Not Disturb light being on. They Ayi walked in on my husband near naked. We constantly had problems and tried to consult the staff (they were friendly and spoke some English) but they only offered us a different room. When we went to view the different rooms you could smell that people had been smoking there. Other major problems included a spider crawling in the bed, the wifi not working for the majority of our stay, and the lights flickering on and off all day. We couldn’t complete our stay and left after two days.

Our stay in Zhangjiajie was fantastic! The place is stunningly beautiful, with a spacious and well-maintained environment. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the location is excellent—within walking distance to the park’s south entrance, which made our visit so convenient. The staff were incredibly helpful and always available to assist. Overall, it was an outstanding experience

New place with a beautiful garden

The location was less than ideal, but that was my own fault, it is not near the most popular entrance but it is near an entrance to the park. The place itself was nice and the breakfast was good. Just beware there are stairs and no elevators so if you have heavy luggage or have difficulty with stairs keep that in mind. Also there are not many restaurants in that area and food delivery takes minimum an hour but that didn't ruin my time.

The location is excellent... Only 1 km walk from the National Park entrance. The setting includes a beautifully landscaped garden with views of the sandstone peaks from the front. We were located next to the stream which was lovely to hear. Bed was divine, room was cosy. The staff were excellent - friendly, courteous and efficient. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend a stay here to see the attractions.
