I was nervous to stay in a residential complex rather than your usual hotel with a front desk. But that changed immediately when the owner provided detailed and helpful instructions on how to check in. The location is an easy 5-10 minute walk from the railway station and the photo provided by the owner with directions was helpful. Upon entering the room, it’s small but very comfortable. Had a great night sleep in the soft bed. I appreciated the ability to use laundry machine on the floor. At night, it was a quick drive to the 72 wonder tower to have some fun. What a great stay and I highly recommend this place for anyone taking an early train ride.

Perfect hotel if you just want a place to sleep before taking a train the next morning. The hotel is the closest you can get to the train station, maybe 10min walk. Communication with the host through messages on trip.com. I never physically talked to anyone. it all worked perfectly, they even made an early check-in possible which was great! The room is really small but was clean and the bathroom has a warm shower and a western style toilet. I'm not sure I'd want to stay there multiple nights but for one night it was perfect. Only issue I had was that there was a bit of a weird smell around the whole floor - not sure what, smelled kinda fishy.

We had a pleasant stay at this cozy homestay! The place is spacious and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and nearby attractions. It's located conveniently close to the Zhangjiajie West (西) train station, which made getting around quite easy—just a short walk across the square and you’re at the public transport stop. Take note : to ensure communication with the plsce before arrival, there is a video on how to reach the stay~ As this is a homestay, do expect a few homely touches like shared use of the fridge (some of the owner's food items are stored there too), but it's well-organized with separate compartments. We even had the lovely coincidence of being welcomed over lunch with the hosts, who introduced us to local juices, food, and cultural insights—such a heartwarming experience! The dining area, rooms, and hot water were all satisfactory—especially appreciated the hot showers in the colder weather. Although the toilet is a squat type, it was clean and manageable. The provided soap and in-house slippers were thoughtful touches, especially since the floor can get quite cold. Just a small tip: bring your own hangers if you plan to stay longer. Wi-Fi usage is limited, so plan ahead if you rely heavily on internet. Also, remember to close the windows before heading out to avoid insects getting in. We stayed for four nights, and while the water supply (via barrels) was just enough, the host was very responsive in refilling when needed. Their friendly and helpful nature really added to our experience—giving tips on local places to visit and things to try. All in all, a simple, comfortable stay with warm hospitality and great views. Would recommend for travelers looking for a local, home-style experience!
