Shan Lu Hotel

This hotel might look dark and edgy at first glance, but it's actually filled with Zen-inspired room designs and interior decor that are both interesting and refined. The service is excellent, and the rooms have floor heating and are quite spacious. The breakfast spread is generous, with a good balance of carbs, protein, and fats, plus freshly ground coffee. In winter, this is an excellent ski-in/ski-out hotel. I've been coming to Chongli for almost 10 years, and this is my first time staying at Genting. It's quite far from the main city and other ski resorts, but that's precisely what makes it less noisy and crowded.

This hotel, seemingly a five-star, appears to be purpose-built for skiing. There's no air conditioning, but it has underfloor heating in winter. The whole hotel has a dark, sophisticated color scheme. The service and breakfast were both good, and the underground parking even has charging stations and a car wash machine.

The room was spotless, and the hotel's location on the hilltop was very quiet. They also offered free KTV and private movie screenings. The hot spring was simple but perfectly adequate for unwinding after a long day. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, and the handmade dumplings in the restaurant were exceptional. For this price, it was an excellent stay. In the morning, you could even see the mountain peaks and the clouds drifting by. It truly felt like a perfect getaway.

The hotel's location felt a bit remote, but the hotel itself was great, and the breakfast was very rich. It offers excellent value for money. If you're visiting Thaiwoo Ski Resort, this hotel could be your top choice.

Hygiene: It was quite clean, and I really liked the toiletries; the lavender scent was very comforting. I even ordered some for myself when I got home. Environment: The lighting in the room was quite dim, which I didn't really like! The room itself was actually quite spacious. Facilities: It had a refrigerator and a color TV. Service: They offered a good variety of entertainment options, which was nice. However, there was no recognition for the Mid-Autumn Festival at all. Even just two mooncakes would have added a bit of festive atmosphere.

Compared to the bustling Thaiwoo Ski Resort, I much preferred the tranquility of Genting Secret Garden Hotel. The design aesthetic was dark and minimalist, with a subtle Jurlique fragrance lingering in the air. Opening the curtains, I could gaze out at the distant Yushiliang Peak. I was so glad I arrived a few days before the Spartan race, allowing me to quietly soak in the beauty of the place. It was only a 500-meter walk to the main race venue, and after finishing, it was a quick 5-minute stroll back to the hotel for a hot shower! I'd definitely come back here for skiing in winter. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in summer, which my husband complained about for all four nights. I'd suggest the hotel install AC units in the rooms for the summer months! Minor incident: After checking out, we had already driven to Zhangbei Grassland when my husband realized he'd left his headphones at the hotel. We called the hotel, hoping for the best. The lovely lady from the reservations department contacted housekeeping to search for the lost headphones and immediately arranged for them to be sent via SF Express. Five-star service, truly!!!

The service was exceptionally good, with every staff member, from the front desk to KTV, being excellent. Since it's September, there weren't as many guests, so breakfast wasn't a buffet; instead, it was à la carte. We were given a menu at check-in and could pre-order. We jokingly asked if we could order the entire menu, and the front desk manager seriously replied, 'Yes, you can.' The next morning, the restaurant staff also said we could order everything on the menu. We marked off almost the whole thing, not quite a book, but close! As you can see from the photo, the three of us ordered a whole table full.

My stay at the Hillside Hotel in Chongli this time exceeded my expectations! 1. Room: The room was very comfortable overall, and the toiletries were of good quality. There was no air conditioning but a fan was provided, which was perfectly fine since it's not hot in the mountains at night anyway. 2. Breakfast: The variety was quite rich, and I was very satisfied! 3. Bonus point: There's actually a self-service tea station next to the front desk! You can get a cup of your favorite hot tea anytime. 4. The service definitely deserves praise: All the staff members were very friendly. What touched me the most was the golf cart service – they drove us directly to Genting in heavy rain! The service was truly impeccable. 5. Minor regrets: McDonald's closed too early 😭 Same for the gym, I wish the operating hours could be extended a bit. The Chinese restaurant also didn't seem to be open much; I hope it will be next time! Summary: Great experience, I would recommend it to friends!

Not bad, I'm quite satisfied with this hotel. I think the breakfast has improved a bit. The corner room they gave me was relatively quiet, and the outside view was beautiful with the flowers blooming perfectly. Keep up the good work!
