Grand New Century Hotel Zhangzhou

Our stay was fantastic, and a big shout-out to Belle at the front desk! She was incredibly friendly and efficient during check-in, handling everything smoothly and meticulously. She patiently and thoroughly answered all our questions in a kind and polite manner. When we reached out to her with inquiries during our stay, she responded quickly and was very proactive in helping us coordinate and resolve things. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, and the room was well-equipped, making for a very pleasant stay. Belle's professional service truly impressed us. We'll definitely choose this hotel again when we're in the area next time.

The hotel's surroundings are nice, and the location is convenient. It only takes about ten minutes to get to the ancient city by taxi. The room size is quite large, but there's no wardrobe. The bathroom and shower are separated by a transparent glass, which is a bit awkward. The toiletries also need improvement. I hope the hotel considers its guests more and lives up to its positioning.

Excellent service, very clean, elegant environment and tasteful decor - a top choice for a vacation! Every corner of the room is picture-perfect.

Facilities: Although this hotel is rated five-star, it doesn't live up to five-star standards in terms of facilities and service, so choose carefully! For example, the complimentary executive afternoon tea was very basic, and there was no dedicated executive lounge floor. You also won't find the kind of upgrades or free breakfast perks you'd expect from a five-star hotel, which really detracts from the experience. Environment: The location isn't great; it's far from the ancient city, and there aren't many good food options nearby. The hotel has been open for about a year, but the room still had a strange smell upon entry. The air conditioning wasn't turned on in advance, and there's no air purifier in the room, which is particularly concerning for children's health. Cleanliness: The room was generally quite clean. Service: The service was the worst part. The front desk staff seemed unfamiliar with their duties and were cold and unwelcoming. Staff members also didn't bother to greet guests proactively.

The hotel facilities are complete, clean, and hygienic. Customer service is prompt and enthusiastic, with an unlimited supply of bottled water. Room cleaning is timely and thorough, and the front desk staff are warm and patient in answering questions. The food in Zhangzhou is delicious, to my liking, and fairly priced – no rip-offs. If I come to Zhangzhou again, I'll definitely stay here.

A great hotel! The lobby is spacious, and the front desk staff are really welcoming. The rooms are large with a good separate shower and toilet. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection. There's plenty of parking available, both above ground and underground. Plus, the hotel is conveniently located for all the attractions.

Right from the moment we stepped out of the car, a concierge enthusiastically opened the door, helped with our luggage, and escorted us to the lobby. I especially want to thank the front desk for upgrading our room during the May Day holiday and even letting us choose our preferred room. They also made sure the room was spotless, which it was. We received complimentary welcome fruit (and I have to say, it was incredibly fresh!). The cleaning staff were also fantastic; even though we didn't touch the mini-bar drinks, they restocked them for us the next day. The service across all departments was truly excellent!👍

We stayed at Kaiyuan Hotel for 3 days with our two young children and truly felt how child-friendly the hotel is. Upon check-in, we received fresh welcome fruits, and around 8 PM each evening, desserts were delivered. The staff cleaned our room meticulously every day, first mopping and then vacuuming, and the bedding was always neatly made. This really highlighted the cleanliness of the room and the professionalism of the staff. Doing laundry and drying clothes can be a headache when traveling with kids, as they won't dry in the room. However, the staff took care of it for us, drying and folding everything before returning them to our room. We bothered them twice during our 3-night stay, and this service truly touched me the most – you are incredibly friendly to families with children. We also enjoyed the complimentary bus service to Zhangzhou Ancient City on the weekend. I hope you continue to refine your services and keep up the excellent work.

Very satisfied with my stay! The front desk even upgraded my room. The facilities are new, clean, and have a bit of a classic, old-money Chinese aesthetic. The view is also great. Highly recommended. However, the air conditioning had a musty smell, which I hope can be improved.
