Zhengzhou Hotel

Back in Zhengzhou, and once again, I chose Zhengzhou Hotel. It's incredibly convenient, close to the train station and Erqi Square. The environment is lovely, and the service is excellent. Highly recommend it!

It felt like I'd stumbled into a state-run guesthouse where government officials hold meetings 😆. Even though I drove this time, I still tend to book hotels near train stations. It was renovated in 2018, so it's a bit dated overall, but it's still quite clean. The room was really big and bright. The floor was high enough to offer a distant view of the city lights. Though, there's not much else to see around besides other buildings.

The hotel boasts an excellent location. Any hotel named after the city it's in must have some history behind it. It's just a few hundred meters from the train station, long-distance bus terminal, subway station, Erqi Square, and the pedestrian street. The hotel does have a restaurant, but it was closed during the Chinese New Year, so I didn't get a chance to try it. To be objective, the facilities aren't brand new, but the room was spacious, bright, clean, and tidy, and the view from the higher floor was fantastic. After a day of exploring, all I needed was a place to take a hot shower and a comfortable, spacious room to sleep in. In a word, the value for money is outstanding.

The hotel offered a free room upgrade for my Trip.com booking. Out of the 8-day trip covering Zhengzhou, Luoyang, and Kaifeng, the Zhengzhou Hotel definitely stood out with the best environment and room size, offering excellent value for money. Dining and laundry facilities were also very convenient. It's less than a ten-minute walk to Erqi Plaza Metro Station and Erqi Plaza, and also close to Zhengzhou Railway Station. The location is incredibly convenient. Comparing price, location, and the hotel's environment and cleanliness, it's good across multiple dimensions.

The room was very spacious and clean. I got an upgrade, which was a great experience. It's close to the train station, and convenient for food and shopping. The front desk service was excellent. I'll definitely come back next time!
