Willow Inn

This little Guesthouse is absolutely beautiful and comfy. I was worried that it may be hard to find but it really isn't. If you have a map app for China, it is very easy to get to. The owner picked me up nearby though. There is a code to get into the front door and then you can retrieve your key card from a lock box. Very simple really. The room was very clean and new and beautiful and stylish. The view stunning!!!! You can watch the people do Tai Chi at the pagoda in the morning. The location is great because you can easily walk to the tourist center, yet you are also in the middle of a real residential area, which is interesting. I can recommend this place 100% ! The owner is always available via wechat if there are any issues. Zhenyuan is a gem ! Oh and not all places offer your own roof terrace...a beautiful one on top!

Absolutely wonderful, we loved our stay! The room was so comfortable and had all the amenities we could hope for. The view from the room was beautiful, and the location is perfect - easy to walk all around the ancient city, but in a quiet and peaceful area. Usually the hotel is self check-in, but we had trouble on our end reaching the host on WeChat beforehand, so he very kindly waited for us at the hotel when we arrived to explain everything. He even came back to let us in when we mistakenly locked the key in the room which was so kind. There are umbrellas to borrow, tea for communal use and a lovely rooftop seating area that overlooks the town. A perfect place to stay!

Communication with the owner was excellent throughout. He gave some helpful advice about the area. The guesthouse has a lovely rooftop you can admire the view from. View across the River is fantastic. In the morningl we saw locals doing their tai chi by the pagoda, and in the evening their dancing exercises. The shower was very good and needs soft and comfy. For the price it was a great location and facilities were good. There is no on site reception but entry codes are provided and the owner met us at check in, he is responsive and friendly. Zhenyuan is not too touristy yet, it is relaxed and friendly.

Such a great room and view of pagoda, and a cozy and lovely rooftop at the top of the building. Bed was very comfortable and we felt very welcomed there!

Nice hotel, clean and the location is pretty good. My room was also upgraded for free.Only thing is that you have to contact the owner on wechat before arrival in order to check in

What a beautiful place. As soon we arrived in our room we decided to stay for one more night. The owner is very responsive, helpful and easy to communicate with. He did everything to help us, even booked a transport for us, because there was no bus on our departure day😍😍 We have got a room upgrade and it was amazing, there is a big window with the river and Pagoda view, even when you are laid in the bed. The hotel is 8min walking from the old village gate and 5min from the main road. The Room was great, and very Comfy, with everything we needed. There is free water, and tea on the main hall. Also they offer for free a wash machine for clothes if you want. The terrace on the roof top flor was gorgeous.
