POLYVIEW Hotel

I really loved the retro 30s and 40s decor throughout the entire hotel. The room was small but very new, with no unpleasant renovation smells or formaldehyde issues, and it was super clean. The staff were all incredibly warm and attentive, which was really nice. The room came with its own mini washing machine and detergent, which was very convenient. It's about a 15-minute walk to Sunwen Middle Road/Xishan Temple, and Sunwen West Road shouldn't be too far either. Right around the corner, there's a restaurant belonging to their group, which looked good, and across the street, there's a Singaporean restaurant offering Nanyang breakfast. The only downside: the soundproofing was terrible! Seriously bad. During Chinese New Year, there were several noisy kids who started acting up around 11 PM, and their parents were hysterically shouting – it was a nightmare! Luckily, the front desk provided earplugs, which were very effective and saved my sleep. But those earplugs really hurt my ears! 😭 Overall, it was a pretty good experience. With a bit of luck, it could be excellent 😊

Environment: Great. Facilities: The decor has a strong Southeast Asian retro vibe. The front desk and room staff were all very welcoming. It's also very close to the pedestrian street, so it was super easy to get some delicious pigeon. I'll definitely stay here again next time.
