The Westin Zhongshan Guzhen

I was very satisfied with the room. The food at Zhiwei restaurant was okay, and the servers, Shirley Du and Suki Feng, provided excellent service. The concierge, Jade, was also very nice. I will definitely book this hotel again the next time I visit Zhongshan.

The hotel's design is grand and classic, exuding the confidence of a well-established five-star property. The service is also excellent; they offered a complimentary breakfast for my child during check-in and gave us some small treats at check-out. The overall service has that thoughtful, Guangdong-style touch. If I ever come to Zhongshan again, I'll definitely stay here.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! Even though the hotel was fully booked during the Chinese New Year, the service quality didn't dip at all. The breakfast buffet was extensive, and despite the peak hours, the dining queue was well-organized. The staff even thoughtfully prepared small snacks for guests waiting in line. The executive lounge offered great views and delicious food, and watching the sunset from the 47th floor during afternoon tea was truly a memorable experience. The kids loved the swimming pool, visiting it three times, and we felt completely reassured about its cleanliness and sanitization. Finally, a special thank you to Fiona, the front desk manager, for her incredible help. When our return flight was unexpectedly rescheduled, she promptly assisted us with adjusting our check-out time. We were so touched! I highly recommend The Westin to anyone needing accommodation in Zhongshan Ancient Town. Thumbs up! 👍👍👍

Overall, my experience this time was not good. The executive lounge view is a selling point, but the windows were so dirty that it greatly affected my photos. For the afternoon tea, there was only one type of fruit, which felt like a half-hearted effort. Dinner at the noodle bar was even worse: the noodle toppings were pre-made and then burnt when reheated! The food quality during happy hour was generally poor. The swimming pool was only 0.6 meters deep, making it impossible for adults to swim properly. The men's shower room in the pool area was not maintained or cleaned in a timely manner; someone had urinated in the shower, and the stench was overpowering. The children's playground had very few toys and facilities, and many were damaged.
