The hotel's exterior aesthetic is definitely on point, and the small decor outside each room is perfect for photos. You can easily spend half a day exploring the surrounding farms and the Ming Great Wall. The entire Yellow River Homestay complex also offers a good variety of businesses. However, the interior of the room was quite disappointing. While they claim the dim lighting is for stargazing, I personally don't believe a vanity light would significantly impact the night sky. The dim lighting coupled with the square room shape, to put it nicely, made it feel a bit like a creepy escape room. You couldn't even see your face clearly in the mirror, and I imagine children would be quite scared. The cleanliness was also subpar. The air conditioner panel was covered in a layer of grime, making the numbers illegible. There were two giant millipedes in the bathtub, which no one seemed to care about. They said they crawled up from the drain, but isn't blocking drains standard procedure for hotels now? One of the bedside lamps was broken, the desk lamp switch had fallen onto the floor, and the TV power cord wasn't plugged in. It felt like they expected guests to discover all these issues themselves. They also forgot to send the evening dessert. The explanation was that we checked in too late, past the designated time. However, during check-in, we clearly heard them asking other guests if they wanted evening milk. (Though, I'm lactose intolerant and don't drink milk anyway, and they did compensate by sending coffee promptly the next day). Furthermore, when guests raised issues, the hotel staff always tried to defend themselves first instead of readily admitting to problems. Their customer complaint handling definitely needs improvement.

This is a great hotel! We got a room upgrade during the off-season, and my child had a blast playing on the slide in the room. The entire Yellow River Homestay area has a similar vibe, but Dale's service and amenities are exceptional. The on-site coffee shop is also fantastic. They even gave my child carrots to feed the animals, which was a lovely touch. I absolutely love it and have already recommended it to my friends.

The environment is great, the air is fresh, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of choices.

Lost Villa The most perfect stop on our Ningxia trip. Although our two-night stay was brief, the experience is still worth reliving again and again. Whether it was sharing sweet drinks by the bonfire, enjoying roasted sweet potatoes by the fireplace, or the ladies teaching me about the starry sky, every moment was filled with joy. The light and shadows were vibrant, and the space was exquisitely designed. During the day, there was the blue sky, yellow earth, and green trees; at night, the sky was adorned with colorful stars. Every photo I took felt like a precious film reel frozen in time. The heavy fruit platter and carefully selected toiletries – every detail reflected a consistent pursuit of excellence. Having worked tirelessly for so long, I thought I had lost all my emotions, but unexpectedly, I encountered the warmest hospitality. It was like a shooting star gliding across the sky when you look up – unexpected kindness, truly precious. Daleyzhiye, for the first time, because of how wonderful a place was, I'm planning a separate trip to explore Daleyzhiye in other cities!

Staying at Dalezhiye in Zhongwei's Yellow River宿集 (Suji) was a healing experience, thanks to its wabi-sabi inspired rammed earth courtyard. In spring, pear blossoms spill over the mud walls, and light and shadow dance across the gravel courtyard, creating a relaxed wabi-sabi aesthetic both indoors and out. Thoughtful details are hidden everywhere, making every spot picture-perfect. It’s a secluded utopia where you can slow down and embrace nature. 💡 Practical tips for your stay: • **Best photo times**: 9-11 AM and 3-5 PM. The soft lighting is perfect for stunning photos. • **Outfit suggestions**: Light-colored or earthy tones will perfectly complement the rammed earth walls and pear blossom backdrop. • **Recommended photo spots**: The pear tree in the courtyard, by the indoor window, the outdoor swing, and the rattan-covered walkway.

Traveling during the off-season, there were only about four or five groups of guests in the entire guesthouse cluster. Huanghe Guesthouse is located on the opposite bank of the Yellow River from Shapotou. After crossing the Yellow River Bridge, there are many large vehicles, and then you have to drive five or six kilometers on a secluded small road. Be careful when driving at night. Since it was off-season, only one restaurant was open, and it took about half an hour to drive to Zhongwei city center. Most of the roads are quite good, except for the ones near the hotel. I'd recommend coming in the summer instead.

Overall, the price is a bit high for the off-season, but everything else is great.

The location is excellent. **Facilities**: Very Moroccan in style, just as I'd imagined. **Cleanliness**: Very clean, and the best part is that it's not crowded. **Service**: Everyone was very polite. It was easy to just wander around, though driving was a bit inconvenient due to the snowy weather.

The room's amenities weren't very practical; the lighting was too dim, and there weren't enough lamps to brighten it up. My biggest disappointment was the swimming pool in the common area, which was completely unmaintained and dirty. For nearly 2,000 yuan a night, seeing a pool full of dirty water made me not even want to take a picture. It truly pales in comparison to the pools at other hotels nearby.
