Zhoulv Nanyuan Maritime Silk Road Hotel

We booked a family room, which was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. It included 4 breakfasts (which seemed to be adult portions, which was a nice touch). Also, Xiao Jin, the GRO (Guest Relations Officer), provided excellent service. She contacted us in advance and even sent us the hotel's location.

The hotel service was excellent, very efficient, and the staff were incredibly helpful. The room, with its Middle Eastern theme, was unique and charming. The shuttle service was prompt, and the public areas were well-maintained. If you're traveling with kids, I'd say skip Daqingshan and just head straight to Dongsha; it's perfect and less tiring. Now, for some areas that could be improved: the bathroom door in the Middle Eastern themed room doesn't lock, and there's no extractor fan, which led to a bit of an odor. Hope they can fix that! Also, the cleanliness of the large public bath could be a bit more meticulous.

Cleanliness: Average Ambiance: Average Service: Poor 1. The mood lighting in the room was broken and flickering. 2. I booked a 'Deluxe King Room' and at this price, I didn't expect there to be a distinction between rooms with and without hot springs. I assumed it included hot springs, but then I had to pay extra for it, which immediately soured my experience. Then I bought a hot spring ticket, only to find that a third of the facilities were closed for maintenance. Why wasn't the ticket price reduced by a third then? 3. Other platforms offer cheaper prices and include hot springs. I booked through Ctrip for peace of mind, paid more, and still didn't get hot springs. Speechless.

The courtyard has a very stylish design, inspired by the Maritime Silk Road. We stayed in a Jiangnan-style courtyard room on the second floor, which was incredibly spacious and well-equipped. The lobby also offers fantastic views, and Dongsha Beach is right next door.

The hotel is pretty good! There are lots of entertainment options, and it's really close to the beach, perfect for photos. They also have a shuttle service for getting around, which a lot of hotels offer nowadays. The hot springs were too crowded, so I skipped them.

Our stay and experience were excellent. We've traveled to many places with our 14-month-old, and our trip to Zhoushan was by far the most relaxing. The hotel has a large lawn where our child could play freely, and Dongsha Beach was also a hit with the little one. We had to take a shuttle to get to our room, but it was always on time, and our child loved riding it! 😄 The hotel also offered a complimentary travel photoshoot, which turned out great. Our child was very cooperative, and the photos were lovely. The only downside was that adding extra photos was a bit expensive, so we only picked three. It would be great if they could be more affordable in the future. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Zhoushan!!!

Arrived at the hotel late at night, and check-in was incredibly smooth. Traveling with a baby meant we had a lot of luggage, but a staff member was there even in the middle of the night to help us with our bags and bring them all the way to our room. Throughout our stay, anything we needed was delivered promptly. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, always greeting our baby. The complimentary travel photoshoot at the end was also fantastic; we ended up keeping almost all the original photos!
