InterContinental Zhuhai

Came to Zhuhai for a weekend staycation and booked a one-bedroom suite. The overall experience was excellent. The suite was incredibly spacious, with a living room and desk area, making the layout very practical and never feeling cramped. Since it was the summer holiday, there were many guests, and the Executive Lounge was very popular, but the experience exceeded expectations. Happy Hour was a delightful surprise; the hot dishes were varied, flavorful, not too heavy, and absolutely delicious. The afternoon tea selection was also sufficient, and the TWG tea was wonderful! The lounge's window seats offered direct views of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, providing an amazing vista. Breakfast was on the second floor, and it was extremely crowded on Saturday and Sunday; we even had to queue for breakfast on Sunday morning. This time it was a Southeast Asian theme (Singapore, Thailand), and the overall taste was quite standard. During peak hours, there was a long wait for omelets, and the coffee was just okay – this was probably the most noticeable drawback of our stay. The food quality in the lounge was definitely much better than the second-floor Western restaurant. Secondly, the service was excellent throughout our stay. Our requests were almost always promptly addressed. We encountered a minor issue during our stay, and the staff handled it quickly and appropriately. During check-out, Rona at the front desk proactively followed up with us, listened carefully to our feedback, and took our comments seriously, which left a very positive impression. The hotel has an infinity pool that looks stunning, but unfortunately, it was too crowded during the summer holidays for us to use. The location right by the sea is perfect for evening strolls or cycling along the beach. Overall, it was a highly rated holiday stay. My only wish is that the hotel can improve the efficiency of breakfast service during peak hours in the future. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it and would definitely come back if I have the chance.

This is my second consecutive three-night stay at InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort. This year, there was a minor unpleasant incident due to a discrepancy in information, but sometimes you need something to go wrong to truly test a hotel's service! A special thanks again to Emily for her excellent and genuine service! My schedule was very tight, so I usually arrived back at the hotel late at night or even early in the morning. On the last day, I decided to stay in and explore the hotel rather than going out. Regarding breakfast: I used to think hotel breakfasts were just about 'filling your stomach,' so I never bothered eating at the hotel, especially with many famous breakfast spots nearby. However, this time, I discovered that InterContinental Sanya's breakfast is absolutely worth every penny! Not only is there a wide variety, but most items are made to order! For instance, the preserved egg and lean pork congee has its shredded pork and other ingredients added and cooked on the spot! There were about four or five different types! The wontons are also freshly wrapped and cooked, and the taste is superb! The meat is incredibly springy! The bread and pastries are also outstanding, but unfortunately, my stomach can only hold so much. Next time, I'll definitely book a room with breakfast included! 🤣 I don't even need to mention the environment – the breakfast area, executive lounge, and swimming pool all offer almost 360-degree sea views! When the weather is good, it really brightens your mood. Facilities: The hotel gym equipment is all top-brand, very smooth, well-maintained, and extremely clean! Another thing worth mentioning is the hotel's culture. I noticed a row of small stalls near the front desk, initially thinking they were just hotel products. I stopped for a moment and found the first stall particularly charming. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was a charity project. I saved the details, planning to make a purchase to support it! My next stay at InterContinental Sanya Haitang Bay Resort will definitely be in the near future!

While checking in, there was a guest ahead of me, so I had to wait a bit, which is quite normal. However, when it was my turn, the front desk attendant immediately offered me a complimentary souvenir (a small egg roll) as an apology. Honestly, it was a very normal wait, but the prompt apology gift really shows exceptional service. There was also fruit in the room, and their breakfast spread was very generous.

The hotel upgraded us to a scenic executive room in advance, which was spacious and had great views. The executive lounge had excellent food and service. The outdoor pool was also very comfortable. Thanks to Irene and Emily.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and my child got to see the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, which was a bonus. There was a charcoal-grilled restaurant that felt like a Western restaurant, and the food was delicious, though quite pricey. But we were just too tired to go out searching for food, so we decided to enjoy a meal there. The next morning, as we were rushing to catch the high-speed train, I was still stuck in Hong Kong/Macau mode and asked the doorman to hail a taxi for us. It wasn't until I got into the car that I realized I was in Zhuhai and could have just done it myself! Hahaha, the service was really good though!

This was my first time staying at the InterContinental Zhuhai, and I had a really pleasant experience. The hotel's location is super convenient for getting around. For breakfast, we went for dim sum; there are so many great options nearby, with a wide variety of delicious and affordable choices. The hotel also treated us to an afternoon tea. Staying at the InterContinental felt just like being at home – so relaxing! I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Zhuhai.
