Traveling to Zhuhai Chimelong with kids for the first time, we needed an overnight stay before checking into Chimelong on the 16th. We found Hotel L on Ctrip. After reading many reviews, I was initially worried about the hotel's proximity to Zhuhai Station, fearing noise from heavy traffic and car horns. However, my stay turned out to be great, so much so that I extended our reservation from the 17th to the 19th.
Overall, the hotel's location is super convenient; it's right across the road from Zhuhai Station, literally steps away. Since it's at the station exit, there's a taxi stand directly opposite the hotel, making it easy to catch a cab to Chimelong. Although a bit pricier, the convenience factor makes it worthwhile. The front desk staff were very friendly. I remember grabbing a coffee from the self-service machine during check-in, and it was quite good. Our room faced the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, offering a nice view – perfect for catching the sunrise. The side of the hotel facing the road is Zhuhai Station, and you can also see the Gongbei Port (across from Macau). I'd recommend getting a higher floor for better views and, if you prefer quiet, to be further from the road where it's less noisy. (Frankly, the noise wasn't as bad as some reviews suggested; it's just normal city sounds, nothing outrageous, at least in my opinion). I won't go into details about cleanliness and comfort, as I wouldn't have extended my stay if they weren't up to par. One thing to note: there are four washer-dryer machines, so try to do your laundry early. As for breakfast, you can skip it. The taste isn't great, and since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, breakfast is delivered to your room. Everyone has different preferences, but I personally didn't find it to my liking.
