Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel (Chimelong Flagship Store)

We brought our baby to the Spaceship Park, and he had an absolute blast the whole time. The butler service was excellent too. I highly recommend the Coral Buffet Restaurant; you can watch the coral fish while you eat.

I chose this hotel for the 2025-2026 New Year's Eve countdown, mainly to see the fireworks at Ocean Kingdom. However, the Dolphin Executive King Room I booked didn't have a view of the fireworks. It was a sea-facing room, so I ended up catching the first sunrise of 2026 over the sea instead 🌅.

I recently stayed at the Hengqin Bay Hotel with my family, and overall, the experience was very satisfying. The hotel lobby is spacious and bright, with eight dolphin sculptures arranged as pillars, perfectly complementing the marine theme. The front desk staff were efficient and professional, making the check-in process smooth and quick. The guest rooms are thoughtfully designed for families, equipped with bathtub liners and special toiletries for children. The mattresses were just right—neither too soft nor too hard—and the pillows offered good support, ensuring a quality night's sleep for everyone. The dining options were plentiful. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, with the made-to-order noodle station and pastry section being particularly popular. For dinner, we enjoyed authentic shrimp dumplings and wonton noodles at the Fisherman's Wharf Tea Restaurant, which my child also loved. The hotel's attention to children's dining was evident through the provision of special tableware and adorable-looking desserts. The recreational facilities are a highlight. My child had a fantastic time in the children's area of the Water World, and the indoor heated pool was clean and comfortable. In the evening, we took a stroll through the grounds; the flamingos in the seahorse area and the hotel's dolphin pool offered delightful scenery, adding to the holiday atmosphere. The butler service was prompt and responsive, providing clear answers to all our inquiries.

While the facilities at Hengqin Bay Hotel are a bit dated, the service is incredibly thoughtful. Since we had elderly family members who needed to rest at noon, the butler promptly arranged a room for us, and we received complimentary fruit and snacks daily. One of our rooms had a balcony directly overlooking the Whale Shark Aquarium, and watching the fireworks from there in the evening was absolutely blissful… The hotel breakfast was quite varied, and the shuttle service was very convenient. I highly recommend Ocean Kingdom; Chimelong Spaceship Theme Park might be more suitable for younger children. The package deals are great value for money and I recommend buying them.

Getting around was convenient too, with direct bus and boat transfers to Ocean Kingdom, which made pickups and drop-offs a breeze. Buying tickets was also easy. The hotel offered a rich and varied breakfast. Overall, it was excellent. You could even watch the fireworks show from the 18th floor!

The staff proactively offered a non-slip mat and adjusted the minibar's location to prevent young children from accidentally touching it – truly attentive to detail. The dining experience was good. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection and consistent quality. The Fisherman's Wharf Tea Restaurant became our go-to for dinner; their dim sum was authentic, and the fresh shrimp wonton noodles are a must-try. The restaurant also catered well to children, providing dedicated utensils and high chairs. The leisure facilities are a major highlight of the hotel. Our child went to the Water World every day, and the indoor heated pool was also a great place to relax. Evening strolls in the hotel garden have become a family tradition, and the views of the flamingos and dolphin pool helped us forget our worries. The butler service was promptly responsive and even proactively helped us check operating hours. Overall, the hotel performed steadily across accommodation, dining, entertainment, and service support, making it a satisfying choice.
