Once confirmed reservation, I contacted hotel for dining arrangement on 29th Jan. They said that they have "upgrade" my room. However, the upgraded room is not what I want, so, I told them NOT to upgrade. Then they explained that there's A/C issue, trying to fix it now.
2nd Feb, they told me that my room is fixed and ready, no need to upgrade, I replied that was great!
20th Feb, the date that we check-in, I contacted hotel for the room, dinner and exact location. The hosted asked when we will arrive and I told him we will arrive 3:00pm that day.
Eventually, we arrived at 4:30pm, the hosted told me that "oh, so sorry, the "previous guest" didn't check-out, I will upgrade you" <-- I was thinking ***, AGAIN?
This hotel, only 2 types of room with hotel spring, they keep pushing me to stay at ANOTHER room.
Finally, we met the "prevous guest", they said they booked for 3 nights, understand that the last night the same room not available, but they just don't care and act like ******* leave all belongings let the hotel no choice but stayed the same room for them.
That means, hotel received "previous guest" $$ and my $$ for the same room same night. Also, the hot spring was not working on the 2nd day almost the whole day.
They said it was because we didn't turned off the hot spring <-- they didn't mention I can't enjoy hot spring from when to when?!
Unfortunately, Trip.com will only "listen" to user, but "confirm" situation with hotel.
They said I did stayed in their hotel anyway, I said that location is not a usual place that I can find another HOTEL easily, I have no choice at that moment because we have 4 children!
The compensation this time was $986 but I paid $5000 for that room.
To all others, I will tell you to re-consider to stay in this hotel or use Trip.com from now on!
