Ibis Budget Zurich City West

Location: About a 20-minute walk from Zurich main station, but the #51 tram stops right in front of the hotel and runs frequently. There's a Coop supermarket nearby which is quite convenient. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly. Room: Very small but it had air conditioning, which is a big plus. Other than that, it's very budget-friendly – no kettle, and only a 3-in-1 shower gel/shampoo/conditioner. Summary: Accommodation in Zurich is expensive, so this place for just over 1000 CHF fit the budget. Having air conditioning is especially important in the summer.

We stayed for 2 nights in Switzerland during our 1-month family trip through 11 countries and 16 cities in Europe. It was easy to get around thanks to the tram right in front of the hotel. Behind the accommodation, there's a riverside promenade where we took a walk after sunset. There are tables and water available in front of the restaurant on the first floor, so we could grab some salmon sushi, salad, and bread from the nearby Lidl supermarket and have a simple meal. The Design Museum is right next door. The room was really small for the price, unfortunately. But then again, everything in Switzerland is expensive compared to other European countries... Despite our busy itinerary, Switzerland was a great place to relax.

Conveniently located near Zurich city center, with easy transportation access, a rich breakfast, and affordable prices. Definitely worth staying at.

The room isn't huge, but it's really well-equipped! It even has a hairdryer and a drying rack. The single bed is a bunk bed with a double, and the bathroom is separated into three areas. The only thing missing is an electric kettle. Plus, there's a huge Coop supermarket right next door, which is super convenient.

The triple room was a lot smaller than I expected. The facilities were clean, but it felt like something was missing.

This hotel isn't considered expensive for Zurich. The room was small, but triple rooms are hard to find in Zurich, and it was clean enough. The toilet in the room was inexplicably high. Also, the hotel explicitly states that you can't use a kettle in the room to boil water, which is also strange. Other than that, a light rail station is right outside the hotel, and it's a 10-minute ride to Zurich HB.

Close to a bus stop and a decent-sized Coop supermarket. Recommended for those who just want to stop over briefly in Zurich before continuing their journey.
