Hotel St.Gotthard Reviews

3rd stay at this wonderful property. The staff was as usual attentive, helpful and generally excellent. Our Suite was upgraded, for which we were grateful. The hotel is on the Bahnhofstrasse (main shopping belt where all the luxury brand names are) and a mere 10min walk to the Old Town (where quaint shops are found). Convenient tram service and main Zurich Rail Station is 1min away. Everything is in the neighbourhood. We thoroughly felt at home. Thank you Hotel St. Gotthard.

I stayed in an Executive Suite for three nights. The room was spacious with a great view of Bahnhofstrasse from the window, and the location, right by Zurich main station, was fantastic. My only thought was that the 6-tatami mat living room with a TV, which I never used, felt unnecessary. It would have been great if the price could have been adjusted accordingly. My only real complaint is that the shower room didn't have a handheld showerhead. However, breakfast was absolutely wonderful.

Location is very near the Zurich hbf which is very convenient. Service is good, hotel room is basic and clean.

The hotel is very close to the train station, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I arrived early, and they warmly arranged an early check-in for me, which I really appreciated. The soundproofing isn't the best, but considering it was peak summer travel season and I was just using it as a transit stop, it was perfectly acceptable.

The location is good, but the rooms are very small, and they don't provide water. The front desk staff are nice and attentive. The street where the hotel is located is a bit noisy.

The room is great, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. BUT: upon check-in, I was asked to leave MY CREDIT CARD on file for the duration of my stay! This was despite the room already being paid for and charged to my credit card. Of course, I indignantly refused. Then I was asked to put down a 100€ deposit, which I equally firmly rejected (I didn't even have any Euros on me anyway... it was a spur-of-the-moment idea to be in Zurich!). The justification given was that I might raid the minibar without paying, but it was empty anyway. Mercifully, I was then allowed to check into my room without leaving any deposit.

The location is just a few steps from Zurich Main Station. The hotel is situated on a bustling street, very lively with plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping malls. The cathedral and Lake Zurich are also not far away.

The hotel is very close to Zurich Main Station, just a 3-minute walk away. The exterior is quite nice, and it even has a Swiss flag. Facilities: It's an older hotel, so the facilities are a bit dated, but they are well-maintained. The decor in the hallways is quite stylish. Hygiene: Overall, the cleanliness was pretty good. Environment: The train station is just a short walk across the street. There's a McDonald's nearby for breakfast and a Coop supermarket also very close. Service: There was a chocolate left on the bedside table. The front desk staff were quite welcoming and spoke excellent English when I checked out and stored my luggage.

Right on the shopping street and just 1 minute across the Zurich HB. Classic hotel with long history in 1898 but renovated beautifully

Switzerland suppose to be the best hospitality country in the world , but how come the front desk staff is so rule with no responsibility and very bad service ever . Many complain from the customer about the Aircon and room no hygiene the floor are so dirty make my daughter allergic and bleeding nose . We pay 500$ room with no Aircon and use Fan . Oh my god 😳😳😳😳😱😱😱😱

Location wise, it is good. Other features such as breakfast, electrical outlet are not worth the price.

Excellent location and friendly staff makes you feel welcome. Near to train station so easy access on metro and trams. Main Zurrich attractions within walking distance

Great location and even better price! It was super convenient, right opposite the train station. The service was excellent; they even let me check in at 8 AM.
