Hotel Krone Unterstrass Reviews

The room was very spacious and well-laid out; my kids immediately exclaimed their delight when they saw it. It was equipped with a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, and kettle. The wardrobe was cleverly hidden, and there were two sinks, which was very convenient. There's a tram stop right outside, and it's only about three or four stops to the train station. The front desk staff were also very friendly. Aside from being on a busy street with some tram noise in the morning, everything else was fantastic. It was the most comfortable internal environment and room layout we experienced during our 8 days in Europe.

The location is super convenient! It's about a 15-minute walk from the train station, and there's a direct bus stop right in front of the hotel. It's also very close to the lake, only a 10-minute walk away. The hotel itself was very clean and quiet. Even in August, when I stayed, there weren't many people around. There are plenty of restaurants nearby too. This is a 4-star hotel in Zurich, and I stayed in a single room. The air conditioning was good, it was clean, and there was a hot water kettle, which is very convenient for Chinese travelers. They also provided a complimentary bottle of mineral water every day. I have to say, Switzerland is incredibly clean – the mountains and rivers are stunning. I hope to come back to Switzerland again someday, maybe visit Jungfrau, and take a scenic train ride!

It was resonable the price…it was only one nigh…location around 20 minutes walking from downtown city…convenience store beside of the hotel…even some restaurants are there

The facilities are pretty new overall, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver! I was so touched when I walked into the room and found it already on. They provide a combined shampoo/body wash and soap, but you'll need to bring all other disposable toiletries yourself, which is quite normal for Switzerland. However, the wooden hangers surprisingly bled color onto my clothes, and I couldn't wash it off... I also found the bathroom's lack of a door inexplicable, as it's very easy to get the floor wet. Cleanliness: Very good, clean and tidy. Environment: The neighborhood is very quiet, and there's a tram stop right outside that makes getting to the train station very convenient. Service: The staff member was very enthusiastic. Overall, I'm satisfied.

The still water provided was quite good. Transportation is not very convenient.

I gave this hotel 5 stars, even it’s a bit far from central station but local tram station located in front of hotel. Was a hot day in May when I checked in and the air conditioner already on in the room. I was so happy when the room was already cool. I will definitely stay in this hotel again in the future.

The hotel is very clean and quiet. It's just three stops by tram (lines 7, 50, or 51) from Zurich main station. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, and overall, it's a great value-for-money hotel in Zurich.

I always come here when I stay in Zurich. Great location and comfy rooms. Also the restaurant has a very nice menu. Good value for money

My stay here was good, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, big room and had everything you need. Breakfast was ok, as I’m Asian, the breakfast was too western for me 😂 I’m the problem ! but it was fair price. Location is another side of the Zurich Harbor. You can walk to Zurich HB station it takes about 25-30 minutes, but it’s on 3 stations by Tram which is very convenient. Not a tourist attraction area which is there are not very busy areas, quite, and peaceful neighborhoods.

The room's electrical circuit had issues, making a chainsaw-like noise every ten minutes or so, which kept me up all night. When I called the front desk, they admitted it was an ongoing problem they couldn't fix as the electrician wasn't available.
