Hotel Montana Zürich

The design of the hotel is wonderful, but the sink is almost blocked when you take shower you will be in a tub of dirty water. The breakfast is the standard continental breakfast. Staff are pretty friendly.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. In fact we left at 7pm after checking in at 3. We had 3 rooms for our party of 5 and all were disgusting. Black mold and stained shower curtains and tiles.  Food crumbs under the bed. Hair IN the bed.  1/4 inch of dust in the walls above the bed.  Smelled horrible.  We booked a non refundable rate and are now fighting with the hotel to get our money back. Trip.com can hopefully convince the hotel to refund our money.  This is the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever seen and to make matters worse, paid €20 additional to stay in the same room 2 nights (supposedly the extension we booked for an additional night was for an “upgraded” room so we would have had to change rooms after night 1). What an insult.  The front desk manager was absolutely no help. Said he would escalate to the hotel manager and call me back.  Never got a call and now have trip.com involved.  This hotel should face fines for uncleanliness. The photos don’t lie.  Do NOT book here.

The hotel is conveniently located near Zurich HB station, with a Coop supermarket right next to the hotel, making it a great location. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is closed to the train station, breakfast is good, room is big!

The hotel management reassigned me to a smaller room, citing that the originally allocated room had been given to guests staying for multiple nights. This practice is unprofessional and does not reflect appropriate service standards. May refer to the check in form I signed, the original room was 415, I was assigned 511.
