The town was once the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Sobrarbe, which became part of the Kingdom of Aragon in the 11th century. It serves as a prime example of medieval urban design. In the northwest of the town center, a castle remains intact. Originally built as a pentagonal tower in the mid-11th century, it was integrated into the defensive system to counter the Moorish threat. The fortress was later restored in the late 16th century, and the current castle was constructed as part of the French border defense system.

Spanish Pyrenees Excursion ~ Huesca (Region) It is located in one of the towers of the castle, you can see the fauna of the area on one side, in the first part you will see the reproduction of the fauna found in the mountains as you rise in altitude, then you will see the audiovisual show. This part is not bad, but the real fun is the second part.
