Part of the trip, I flew into Milan airport. When I got out of the airport, I looked for a train sign to go sightseeing in Milan before going to my accommodation. The airport is not complicated. The building is a single floor. The train station is a little separated from the passenger terminal. The train into the city is the most convenient way. But on the way back, I tried the bus to the airport, which was also convenient. It passed through a vertical forest, which is a tall building with trees planted on it. It looked green all over the building. There is only one like this in the world in Milan.

#holidayitinerary Walking up Sacro Monte di Varese was such a peaceful and refreshing experience. It’s a gentle uphill path with a bunch of little chapels along the way, each one unique and full of history. The walk is surrounded by trees and nature, and it’s quiet enough that you can really enjoy the moment. We took our time, stopped to check out the art inside the chapels, and just soaked up the views. Once you reach the top, there’s this lovely village with cute spots to grab a coffee or snack, and the panoramic view is seriously worth it. You can see all the way across the valley on a clear day. It’s not too hard of a walk, just really peaceful and rewarding. If you like slow strolls, nature, and a bit of history without the crowds, Sacro Monte di Varese is a solid pick.

#100WaysOfTravel If you want to catch the early plane, living here is a very good choice. The hotel is in the airport, and it takes less than ten minutes to walk to the airline counter. The hotel covers a large area, and the room is clean and tidy, and the size is moderate. The layout of the lobby is very Italian. I booked an executive room, and there are happy hour and other executive courtesy, but I missed it when I arrived at the hotel after dinner. I must try it next time.

What an amazing experience that was. I Milano is a capital of shopping, but also a culture of nice food, and a lot of books. We enjoyed it. We saw Castello Sforzesco, the Duomo and other interesting things. Nice weather and class museums ate in there. It's quite a trip. Try to visit someday!

The Trenord-Malpensa Express links the centre of Milan with Malpensa airport and is the fastest option. A one way ticket cost €13, departing from Milano Centrale and taking 50 minutes to reach Malpensa Terminal 1. Malpensa Airport has 2 terminals which are quite far apart, but both terminals are connected by a free shuttle that runs every 7 minutes. There are car rental companies at the arrival hall, tax free counters at Row 12, you need to get a custom chop from the opposite. After security clearance, duty free shops, luxury brand shops, numerous restaurants and cafes around there. The international flight had to proceed to gate B to the passport control section. Everything is smooth and fast.
