France Saignon Rocher Bellevue to Apt Saturday Market Sunflower Honey Lane — €0 Viewpoint + €3 Hone
#worthitomot #Saignon #Apt #Luberon
I drove from Apt to Saignon at 8:10 am on a Saturday in June — 5 km, 10 minutes, free parking at the village foot because the upper lane is too tight for cars. Saignon sits on a rocky promontory; the Rocher Bellevue is the highest point, a 3-minute walk from the fountain square, with a 180° sweep over the Luberon valley floor — Bronzet-age site, Romanesque tower, zero entry fee, zero crowd if you're there before 9. I sat on the flat rock with a croissant from Chez Christine (the village bakery, €1.60) and watched the light hit the distant Mont Ventoux. Then I descended, drove back to Apt for the Saturday market (starts 8 am, peaks 9–11, winds down 1 pm). Apt's market is one of the biggest in Vaucluse: sunflower honey €3/100g jar at the beekeeper stall, lavender sachets €2, fresh apricots €1.50/kg in June. I paid €6 for a small pot of lavender honey and a loaf of tourte. Mistake: I once did it reverse — market first at 11:30, then Saignon at noon; the upper rock had 15 people and the light was flat. Another mistake: parking in Apt old town on market day means a 10-minute walk from the periphery lot (free) — don't fight for the Place de la Mairie spots. Worth it? Yes. Saignon alone is a 40-minute soul-reset for €1.60, and Apt market is the real Luberon pantry. Combined they're a perfect half-day. Question: would you pay nothing for a promontory bench and €3 for honey, or skip Saignon and just do the market — is the rock the point or the jar?

France Bonnieux Old Mill to Cèdre Garden Petrarch Steps Cherry Orchard Path — €7.50 Cedar Forest or
#worthitomot #Bonnieux #Luberon
Bonnieux is a village of two levels: the lower part with its modern church and the upper part crowned by a 12th-century neo-Romanesque church. I started at the Vieux Moulin (Old Mill), a 16th-century windmill perched at the very top. The climb involves navigating the Escaliers de Petrarque (Petrarch Steps)—a steep, winding stone staircase of 86 steps named after the poet who loved this view. From the mill, I looked down on the Forêt des Cèdres (Cedar Forest), a unique grove of Atlas cedars planted in the 19th century. Access to the forest trails is free, but parking at the Parking du Vieux Moulin costs €2. I hiked a 3 km loop through the forest, which smelled incredible—like warm resin and pine. The path then descended past cherry orchards belonging to local farmers. Note: picking cherries without permission is forbidden and frowned upon, but the sight of the fruit against the grey-green cedars is spectacular. My mistake was attempting the Petrarch Steps in flip-flops—the stones are uneven and slippery with pine needles. Another error: I visited in late March before the cedar visitor center opened for the season. The Jardin de la Bouquerie near the mill was also closed. Question: Is the view from the €7.50 entry to the Old Mill worth it, or does the free hike through the cedar forest and past the cherry orchards provide a more immersive natural experience?

🇫🇷 Goult | The Hidden Gem of Provence 💐
#holidayitinerary
Tucked away in the heart of Luberon Natural Park, Goult is one of the most authentic and peaceful villages in southern France—so local that it often slips under the radar of tourists. Just 40km from Avignon and 10km from the more famous Gordes, Goult offers quiet cobblestone streets, charming stone houses, and remnants of its medieval castle. Time seems to slow down here, with olive trees, lavender fields, and sunlit terraces forming the perfect Provençal postcard. If you’re searching for a true off-the-beaten-path escape in Provence, this village is your dream come true.

Australian Wagyu Burger Set🐮
The portion of the burger must be full of ingredients😍 I'm already feeling fragrant before I eat it
The Wagyu burger is big enough and crispy, and the seasoning is just savory😋
Lettuce🥬tomatoes with beef are completely 💯 points😋
In addition to the delicious burger, the bread here is also very fluffy 👍🏻
Being a bread lover I really want to ask him if he can just buy a pack back for breakfast 🥯🤣
Chicken wings 🐥
It's super yummy and fried very crispy but keeps the meat juicy🩷
