This 6.4 kilometer trail, that loops around the hill, used to be one of my go-to countryside walks when needing a quick jaunt out of the town centre for some fresh air. Amazing stay at Ludlow had it as a gift for my birthday and a relax away from normal life !! Good places to eat the only thing is expected more independent retailers like near by Shrewsbury has but unfortunately not a patch on there’s which is a shame but the castle I do recommend going to. Travelling to Shrewsbury next as not to far away and keep hearing about there award winning market and high street so looking forward to some good Christmas shopping and staying there over night to join in with there evening economy which I been hear is amazing with plenty of independent restaurants I think I am going to be spoilt for choice

The first 5 are Shropshire which is beautiful & growing as a destination for UK breaks. Shrewsbury & Ludlow are major choices for dining & shopping. The smaller towns & villages are definitely worth adding to your list too. and then Haworth, popular for Brontë or Railway Children fans. The last is a more far flung location & heartily recommended. Iceland is wonderful for the adventurous, but there is so much more culturally and the warmest people you may have met.

I was inexperienced in taking the national railway and faced some hiccups on my journey from Euston to Wolverhampton. The story began while changing for train to Wolverhampton. I arrived the departure hall before 10:30 am but found the connecting train bearing the word TPC on the platform notice board. I turned to the station staff for help. I was told that the train was delayed and was advised to take another train to Wolverhampton departing 5 minutes soon. But I had to change train at Coventry for getting to Wolverhampton. I thanked the staff and took that train. However when I reached Coventry, I found that I had to connect my onward train an hour later. This completely outpaced my plan to connect another train to Shrewsbury, which was my ultimate destination. That train stopped shortly leaving Wolverhampton because of a traffic accident ahead. It cost another 25 minutes. By the time I arrived Shrewsbury I was two hours late. The story didn’t end here as the train announced that it would stop at Shrewsbury and all passengers including those heading for Wales had to alight. I was considered fortunate as Shrewsbury was my destination. Sheer luck?
