#winterescape
2 Days in Ifrane is all you need to vibe with Morocco's "Little Switzerland". This place is a legit winter wonderland - think snow-dusted trees, bluebird skies, and chalet vibes that'll have you double-taking if you're REALLY still in Morocco.
Ready to chill out and snap some iconic shots?
Check this out 👇
🗓️ Day 1: Alpine Charm & Frozen Trails
· Morning: Be sure to arrive in the morning so you can maximise your time exploring beauty of the city.
Start your day with a brisk walk through the town center and admire the red-tiled chalets that make you feel like you’ve been teleported to the Alps.
· Afternoon: Take a drive to the Monkey Forest. Drive Wander beneath giant Atlas cedars that are over 800 years old. Keep your eyes peeled for the famous Barbary macaques—they love the snow just as much as you do!
· Evening: Fireside Feast. Head back to town for a steaming bowl of Harira (traditional Moroccan soup) or a slow-cooked lamb tagine. The contrast of the spicy, hot food against the freezing mountain air is the ultimate "winter escape" sensation.
🗓️ Day 2: Peak Adventure & Pure Chill
· Morning: Bundle up and hit Ifrane National Park (near Route de Michlifen, open sunrise to sunset). The views? Absolute HD nature binge: frosty trails, sunlit ice and snow, and insta-perfect wild scenery everywhere.
· Afternoon: The Silent Lake. Visit Lake Dayet Aoua. In winter, the water often takes on a glassy, crystalline appearance. It’s the perfect spot for a quiet "chasing ice" walk or a horseback ride along the snow-covered shoreline.
· Evening: The Spa Reset. End your 48 hours at one of the town’s cozy lodges. If you’re feeling fancy, grab a hot chocolate at the Michlifen Resort and watch the sunset turn the snowy peaks into shades of pink and gold.
Pro tip: Ifrane is one of the coldest cities in Morocco during winter so pack accordingly and enjoy. #wintergetaway #winterescape

Perfectly Memorable Moroccan Adventure
This was a dream trip! We had to delay it twice due to family health issues, but Kamal stayed in touch and was consistently helpful, accommodating, and creative throughout the two years of revising plans. When we finally arrived in Casablanca, “Mr. Youssef” greeted us with a warm smile. The three of us embarked on the most enjoyable road trip ever, spending 16 days exploring Morocco’s cities, mountains, medinas, deserts, and so much more!
Youssef is fantastic! A professional driver with deep knowledge and love for his country, he introduced us to wonderful surprises along the way, like the Monkey Forest and the best Berber pizza. He’s incredibly thoughtful and attentive—he helped with my mobility issues numerous times without me even needing to ask. If I could, I’d take Youssef on every trip around the world!
Because it was just the three of us, we had some flexibility with the itinerary, allowing for delightful coffee breaks and unexpected adventures along the way. The local guides in various cities were excellent too. The trip was perfectly paced and full of variety.
It was a truly perfect experience—better than a dream! A heartfelt thanks to Kamal, Youssef, and Morocco for being so wonderfully welcoming!

Ifrane, Morocco🇲🇦, a great place to visit in fall🍂winter❄️
Ifrane is a city located in the central Atlas Mountains of Morocco!
It's perfect for a winter trip because there are many ski resorts.
It's called the little Switzerland of Morocco,
so if you like nature, mountains, and forests, you should definitely go!
If you go in the fall, the warm atmosphere is really nice :)
