Here’s a version with location details included: Tucked away on the Moray Firth coast in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Crovie is one of those places that rewards photographers who slow down. This tiny historic fishing village, nestled beneath the cliffs between Gardenstown and Pennan, offers colourful cottages, a peaceful harbour, dramatic coastal scenery, and ever-changing light. Introduction to Trip Highlights This exploration of the Hishe area will focus on waterfalls, lakes, snow-capped mountains and valleys. If you like nature and love photography, you can't miss it! From Banff, the early morning air is particularly fresh and the scenery is soft, capturing the clouds and mist lingering over the mountains and the daylight shining on the lake with your camera is completely healing for the mind. You can also go to Wildflour bakery to buy some road snacks. I seriously recommend their croissants and handmade bread. Attraction recommendations 1. Tangle Creek Waterfall Tangle Creek Waterfall is right next to the main road, get off and cross the road! The waterfall is overwhelming, the water washes down the rocks, and the water is misty, which is perfect for distant and close-up photos. However, remember to be careful, many visitors on site do not see the car directly across the main road, in fact, the trunk line, to pay special attention to safety. 📍 Address: Icefields Parkway, Jasper National Park, AB T0E, Canada ⏰ Recommended visit time: Open all day, but less people in the morning to take pictures better. 2. Banff Town Banff is particularly quiet in the morning, and when you wake up early in the morning, you can find some beautiful angles in the town to take pictures of mountain views, looking at the fusion of lakes and mountains in the distance, taking pictures at any time on your computer desktop. 📍 Address: Banff Ave, Banff, AB, Canada ☕ Wildflour Bakery Before you leave in the morning, head to Wildflour Bakery for breakfast and road snacks, with fresh handmade baked styles and vegetarian options. Like the neighboring cafes and bars, it's full of characteristics. 📍 Address: 211 Bear St #101, Banff, AB T1L 1A1, Canada ⏰Business Hours: Daily 07:00 - 18:00 3. Mountains Lake Visions Along the way, whether it’s Banff or Icefields Parkway, the mountains and lakes dissolve under the morning mist, and the view is shocking and poetic. It is recommended to choose a sunny day to go, the view is vast, the tones of photography are naturally saturated, and the lake and mountains are unobstructed. Photography tips & tips 1. On the road in the morning, the light is soft, taking pictures by the way to avoid the crowds, the photos come out fresh and comfortable. 2. Cross the road to shoot Tangle Creek Waterfall Remember to see the cars coming from both sides, do not be greedy close or hasty shadow away, the main road speed quickly to be extra careful! 3. Picnic snacks can be bought in advance at Banff Wildflour bakery, especially recommend their croissants and bread, the food is new enough

#hellonewyear Visiting Duff House in Banff felt like uncovering one of Scotland’s lesser-known treasures. This magnificent Georgian mansion, designed by William Adam, stands proudly above the River Deveron, surrounded by peaceful parkland and sweeping views. It’s elegant without being overwhelming, and calm enough to explore at your own pace. Inside, the house blends history with art, featuring rotating exhibitions and beautifully preserved rooms. Outside, the grounds are perfect for a relaxed walk, offering scenic paths and river views that feel untouched by time. Duff House is ideal if you enjoy culture, architecture, and quiet travel moments away from busy tourist routes. 🧭 Travel Tips for Duff House 📍 Best Time to Visit Late spring to early autumn for pleasant weather and open grounds Weekdays are quieter and more relaxed 🎨 What to Expect Inside Art exhibitions from the National Galleries of Scotland Historic interiors and classical architecture A peaceful, museum-like atmosphere 🚶 Things to Do Nearby Walk along the River Deveron path Explore the coastal town of Banff Combine with a visit to Macduff Marine Aquarium 📸 Photography Tips Capture the house from the riverbank for the best angle Golden hour highlights the stone details beautifully ☕ Extra Tip The on-site café is great for a light lunch or coffee after exploring

#traveldiaries The ruins of Findlater Castle stand on a rocky promontory projecting out into the sea some two miles east of Cullen and a mile west of Sandend. It is one of the most dramatical situated of any Scottish castle, perched on a promontory joined to the mainland by a narrow neck of land, with almost sheer cliffs on the other three sides. The name "Findlater" seems to come from the Gaelic "fionn leitir", meaning "white cliff", and the first record of a castle here dates back as far as 1246. In the early 1260s the existing castle here was strengthened by King Alexander III in preparation for an expected invasion by King Håkon IV of Norway. Though this invasion concluded in defeat for Håkon at the Battle of Largs, the Norse do seem to have occupied Findlater, and nothing is known out this early castle on the site. #castle #localguides #hiddengem #100waysoftravel #historicallandmarks #scotland

"A few photos from a beautiful afternoon spent in the village of Crovie, definitely one of my favorite spots on the east coast of Scotland. It's always worth a visit when in the area."
