All Trip Moments about Bantayan | Travel Experiences
Just spent
Just spent time soaking up the sun in Bantayan — this gem in Cebu packs some seriously epic scenery! 🏝️ Whether you crave tranquil beaches or coconut tree-lined shores, Bantayan delivers those dreamy tropical vibes all day long.
Top Spots to Visit:
🌊 Virgin Island – Accessible via boat from Bantayan, this slice of paradise sits in the Philippine Sea (Virgin Island, Bantayan, Cebu, Philippines). It's open year-round and all day, so you’re free to catch sunrise or stay until sunset. The island’s crystal-clear water is totally swimmable, and the surrounding coconut groves create a surreal setting for photos or a laid-back stroll.
Travel Tip:
Do yourself a favor — bring a waterproof camera or your best phone, as the views here are absolutely next-level. I’m talking blindingly blue water and photogenic coconut trees in every direction. Early morning is extra peaceful and perfect for that “I’m the only one here” feeling.
Getting Around:
Bantayan’s main town offers plenty of tricycles and motorbike taxis. For Virgin Island, book a local boat at Santa Fe port — bargaining is expected and part of the fun.
Food Recs:
After your island trip, hit up cafes in Santa Fe for fresh seafood and mango shakes. Many restos are cash-only, so keep pesos handy!
Need-to-Know:
No visa needed for standard tourist stays in the Philippines, and Bantayan is super safe and relaxed. Summer (March–May) is hottest, so pack sunblock, a hat, and sunglasses. Watch out for strong midday sun.

📍Bantayan Island, Philippines [Virgin Island🏝️]
When I went to Bantayan Island on a trip to the Philippines, I went to Virgin Island, which is famous for its crystal clear waters🏖️
It took about 40 minutes by tuk-tuk from Kota Beach, the center of Bantayan Island.
I arrived at the port where the boat to Virgin Island departs.
It's a pretty small port with few boats, so I recommend going early (before around 1pm)!
When I arrived at the island,
a beautiful view spread out before me that was far different from the ocean I had seen before.
The emerald green ocean and the powdery white sand.
I was overwhelmed by the captivating view👀
On the island, I swam in the sea,
jumped off a 5m diving board,
and booked a plan to go diving🤿
