Last year, I spent 10 wonderful days exploring South Australia, and it turned out to be one of my most relaxing holidays. Instead of rushing from place to place, I took my time enjoying beautiful scenery, amazing wildlife, delicious food and some of Australia's best wineries. I started my trip in Adelaide, staying one night at the InterContinental Adelaide. The next morning, I walked to the nearby car rental office to pick up my car before driving to Cape Jervis to catch the ferry to Kangaroo Island. A little travel tip: If you're planning to bring your car onto the ferry, be sure to book your ferry tickets early, especially during peak travel seasons, as vehicle spaces fill up quickly. I spent three nights on Kangaroo Island, where I visited Seal Bay, Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch and several beautiful beaches. Driving around the island was easy and gave me the freedom to explore at my own pace. Seeing kangaroos, koalas and sea lions in their natural habitat was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. From Kangaroo Island, I continued to the beautiful Barossa Valley and stayed in an Airbnb for another three nights. The vineyards, cellar doors and local produce made it the perfect place to slow down and unwind. Before heading back to Adelaide, I made a stop at the charming Hahndorf German Village. Walking through its heritage streets, browsing the local shops and enjoying a relaxing meal was a lovely way to end the journey. If you're looking for a self-drive holiday that combines nature, wildlife, wine and good food, I highly recommend South Australia. Coming to South Australia, how can you not take a stroll in Barossa, which is one of the most famous grape cultivation and winemaking regions in South Australia, known as the 'Capital of Fine Australian Wines'. Today, let me introduce you to a great winery - Yalumba Yalumba Winery. About the environment: The environment at Yalumba Yalumba Winery is really beautiful, it's like living in a castle, with vintage buildings and lawns that are perfect for taking pictures. Holding an umbrella and tasting wine on the lawn is also a very pleasant thing to do. There are also many green plants and big trees in the park, walking around, drinking wine, and basking in the sun is really comfortable. About history: The history of Yalumba Winery can be traced back to 1849, and the wine cellar is filled with countless aged fine wines, dazzling to the eye. Although the bottles are covered with dust, this is the trace of time, showing the history of the winery. Each visitor can bring back two bottles of wine from overseas, and I have given these two bottles' quota to Yalumba Winery. It takes about an hour and a half to drive from Adelaide to Yalumba Winery, and the winery has Chinese-speaking staff to introduce the history and types of wine. The prices are also very affordable. For friends who like wine, you must go to Barossa to find your favorite fine wines.

Australia has fast become a popular place to grow wine. One of the most famous vineyards is that of Jacob's Creek located in the Barossa Valley. You can take a train from Adelaide and then from there get a local bus or you can rent a bicycle. Once at Jacob Creek there are plenty of options available. You can have a look at the vineyard itself and see how the grapes are grown. You may have something to eat in their restaurant. Or, as most people would want, you can join a wine tasting. The tasting itself is fairly cheap at only 5 Australian dollars. During the tasting a sommelier will explain the different wines that you are sampling. You'll get to try red and white wines but also a dessert wine.

Jakes is the largest vineyard in Barossa and one of Australia's three major wine brands, built on the historic Jakes Creek. The visit center consists of a tasting room, wine cellar, history museum, display winery, and the famous Jacques winery. Here, you can not only enjoy the majestic wineries, but also visit the vineyards and wine cellars to learn about the local history and culture. There is a restaurant in the access center. The floor-to-ceiling glass can sit on the window and sit on the endless vineyard. A variety of delicious lunches and fine wines can be enjoyed in the restaurant. Lunch and dinner vary according to the season. Most of the ingredients come from the organic garden in the winery, which is limited according to the day's picking. Barossa in Adelaide boasts numerous wineries, each producing their famous bottles. We chanced upon this place called Tscharke, and it did not disappoint. Their visitors’ area, Protagonist, is quaint, but everything is delicately curated—from the furniture down to the music and the aromatherapy in their bathroom. More than the ambiance, the service and the wines—famously known for as organic and biodynamic estate wines—were the highlight of this quick tour. We skipped the underground cellar experience and the full wine service because we didn’t have enough time. However, that didn’t mean we weren’t able to try their top-notch wines at an affordable price. We tried the Shiraz Shiraz Shiraz, A Thing of Beauty, Girl Talk, and Grenache Rose. There is another wine valley called Barossa valley located also about the same driving distance as mclaren Vale, where one is in the south, and this in the north of adelaide. Barossa is more popular as many tour buses heads to barossa valley, with the many different wineries you can choose from due to the vast land adelaide has and this place alone has more than 100 over wineries and its known to where world class wineries are produced.
