#chinatrip We spent half a day exploring Beitou district while travelling to Taipei and this is such a quiet and serene destination to visit! It is just a 30minutes train ride from Taipei Main Station via red line, which is an easily accessible and reachable destination. We then took another train ride to Xinbeitou station which is nearer to all of the touristy spots. Famous for its natural wonder of hot springs, the Beitou district is full of hot springs resorts, public baths and even museum dedicated for hot springs culture, such a unique place to visit. Would recommend to spend a night at their hot spring resort, especially during winter. Some of the popular destination that we visit include the Beitou Park, Beitou hot spring museum, Thermal Valley and the beautiful Beitou library. The district is filled with lush greeneries and is really calm and slow paced! Lovely place to visit!

Strolling around Xingyi Park

Xingyi park is located at shipai road, beitou district in taipei. It is a great place and nature if you are looking for a place to spend your leisure time. Once in a while you can also catch a glimpse of the infamous blue magpie bird! It is very beautiful, many people often feed them and take photograph of this beautiful bird. There are also many dogs and dogwalkers friendly. On summer day though, the mousquites are quite an issue, so be sure to bring mosquito repellent! #tripblazers

As you can see from the photos, the restaurant is packed and we went on a weekday night. What is guaranteed to give you a good time are these 2 items: - Sesame Paste Noodles - Chicken Soup Both of these are a no brainer. Just order them. Give them a taste and youll understand why everyone, even on Google Reviews say that this is the best sesame noodles and chicken soup they’ve ever had in their lives. The other 2 dishes are the pig skin and lu rou fan. But tbh they’re not really that amazing. Lacking a little bit of flavour and missing the kind of texture you’d expect from lu rou and pig skin. I’d be curious to know what a Michelin Hawker restaurant would be like in Hong Kong. That will be one of the my bucket list items to do when I get the chance to head over!
