Its walls were actually constructed using stones from the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World! Today, it houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, featuring an ancient shipwreck from the 14th century BC. 🚢 Make sure to climb the walls—they offer the absolute best views of Bodrum and the Aegean Sea. Plus, free-roaming white peacocks 🦚 live here and stroll right along the pathways. Pro tip: Tickets are around €25–30, and it's open until 7:00 PM. Plan for at least 2 hours.

Spending time in Bodrum felt like the perfect Mediterranean escape. The town has a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful blue water, white houses, and a great mix of beaches, history, and amazing food. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting Orak Island, often called the “Turkish Maldives.” Once you see the water there, you immediately understand why. The sea is incredibly clear and bright turquoise, and the white sandy seabed makes the water glow under the sun. Swimming there honestly felt like being in the Maldives, just much closer and easier to reach. Back in town, I also explored Bodrum Castle, which overlooks the harbor. The castle is impressive and offers amazing views over the marina and the Aegean Sea. Walking through its stone walls and towers gives you a glimpse into the region’s long history. The marina area is also a great place to spend time. You’ll see beautiful yachts, seaside restaurants, and relaxed cafés where you can just sit and enjoy the view. In the evening, the atmosphere becomes even nicer as the lights reflect on the water. And of course, the food in Bodrum is fantastic. Fresh seafood, Turkish meze, grilled dishes, and delicious Mediterranean flavors are everywhere. Sitting at a seaside restaurant with fresh fish and a warm breeze from the sea is one of the best ways to end the day. Bodrum has a little bit of everything — beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water, history, and a laid-back coastal vibe. And if you’re lucky enough to visit the “Turkish Maldives,” it’s an experience you definitely won’t forget.

Both enjoying a leisurely time by the sea and exploring ancient ruins is simply paradise for those who love history and beautiful scenery! 📍Attraction Introduction: · Bodrum Castle: Built by the Knights of St John, this medieval castle is full of history. The underwater archaeological museum inside the castle has a wealth of underwater artifacts that will definitely open your eyes! Climbing the city wall, the city and sea view come into view at the same time. It is beautiful. · Blue Harbor: Luxury yachts are parked on the shore, and there are lively bars and restaurants next door. Strolling and blowing the sea breeze during the day, the lights on at night, the atmosphere is bursting, couples date is perfect however. · Erudeniz Beach: Fine sand, blue waters, it’s like a fairytale world. I spent most of my days soaking up the sun on the beaches – Gumbet Beach and Bitez Beach were my favorites. The water was incredibly clear and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and even trying out some jet skiing. 🚤 One of the highlights was a boat trip around the Aegean Sea, which cost around 200 TRY per person. Our Deluxe room was spacious, extremely comfortable, clean with every attention to details with luxurious amenities. From our room the views of the Aegean Sea and the over looking to Bodrum skyline was simply stunning. 🌅 We had a fabulous dinner at beach front Amani Beach Bar & Restaurant, Chef Koray Kibar and his team serving most delicious Mediterranean cuisine, great signature cocktails and wine selections. ( One of our favorites in Bodrum ) , on our second night we dined-out Minami Japanese Restaurant and had a great time experiencing unique dishes created by Evren Kiraman and his team. The restaurant set on the rooftop terrace and the sunset view is so beautiful.
