Wat Kirinimit, the Big Reclining Buddha, Bokpyin, Myanmar
Wat Bok Pian, a temple in the community of Myanmar Thais displaced by the Mao people. Phra Ajahn Palom, the previous abbot, was ordained in Thailand. The atmosphere of the temple is similar to that of Thai temples in the southern countryside. The villagers in the community still use the Thai language to communicate. If you don't travel there yourself, you won't believe you're in Myanmar. In the city, there is a large reclining Buddha shrine and an old wooden Buddha statue shrine, which are important landmarks if you come to visit Bok Pian.
