Among the many possible day trips from #hamburg, I chose Bremen because it's nearly one hour away. And I came on a sunny winter day, which made it more special because I saw the city without so much tourists. The breathtaking sights in Bremen are in the old town center, particularly the town hall and the Protestant church beside it. The city is walkable; actually I finished checking out the main attractions in less than 3 hours since they're pretty close to each other. So after lunch, I walked around the town center and revisited the attractions to find out more detail. Of course, there are other travel guides you can refer to, but the photos I've added here are more of the less-visited parts like the bridge (which amazing graffiti), the merchant stores just past by the town center, and the river that looked gorgeous in midday.

There are all kinds of pretty lights, food, souvenirs, and everything you can think of. Sharing my itinerary and public transportation 🚄 【My Itinerary】 Day 1-2: Shanghai - Frankfurt - Bremen We flew direct from Shanghai to Frankfurt with Lufthansa, a 13-hour flight. After arriving in Frankfurt, we took the Deutsche Bahn ICE high-speed train north to Bremen. . Day 3: Bremen The bronze sculpture of the "Town Musicians" in front of the UNESCO World Heritage Bremen City Hall is always lively. The Renaissance paintings in the art museum are captivating, the planetarium at the Center for Space Science projects star trails, and the winding alleys of the Schnoor district are painted in bright colors. Around the corner, we found a handmade chocolate shop—these little joys during travel are the most touching. . Day 4: Bremen - Hamburg The Deutsche Bahn ICE high-speed train took me to Hamburg, with windmills and wheat fields of the North German Plain flying past the window. Upon arrival in Hamburg, I headed straight to the UNESCO World Heritage Speicherstadt—the red brick warehouse district along the Elbe River. The Chilehaus observation deck overlooks the harbor, cranes busily loading and unloading containers, and the seagulls’ calls mixed with the sea breeze blowing into my collar. In the 2,000-square-meter miniature world model, trains shuttle and streetlights twinkle. . Day 5: Hamburg The grand finale in Hamburg is the City Hall, with its impressive Neo-Renaissance tower. Then we explored the vibrant fashion district and the St. Pauli bunker, which has been transformed into a cultural space full of modern art. Climbing to the rooftop platform, we enjoyed a 360-degree panoramic view of Hamburg’s harbor area and city skyline.
