The sculptures are adorned with the red and green colors of the Belarusian flag. We came across one of the Soviet streets, formerly a police street during the Russian occupation. Now a pedestrian street, it retains its old houses, lined with shops and restaurants, and displays of traditional architecture and art installations. Walking here was quite pleasant. A spontaneous trip, no fuss, no plans to "do it all," where all I want is to simply look, feel, stroll, and be impressed. A couple of days in Minsk, then a day in Baranovichi and Brest, then home to the golden-domed city! It's clean, delicious, beautiful, and peaceful here. A special plus, which for some reason is also pleasing, is that the Mir card is accepted everywhere (you don't even think about money). I caught myself thinking that Belarus fits easily into my summer destination list. No long flights, no overload of impressions, just the opportunity to just be, stroll, gaze around, and rest my mind. And I definitely want to return to the Animal Park (it's magnificent). It has a huge, beautiful grounds, well-groomed animals, and you can feed and even touch some of them (I'll definitely go horseback riding in the summer). The start of the year turned out exactly how I wanted it to be: a bit of travel, a bit of silence, and the feeling that everything is just unfolding ahead.
