Walking slowly down the narrow medieval cobblestone street, Grande Rue, you’ll find 15th and 16th-century half-timbered stone houses lining both sides, now mostly restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, and small hotels. #AbsolutelyFreeTrip Mont Saint-Michel, a monastery that stands as if floating on the sea. The mysterious appearance of the island and land depending on the tide took my breath away✨ Walking along the narrow streets where the medieval townscape remains intact, I felt as if I had wandered into a fantasy world🎠 It takes about 2 hours from Paris to Rennes station by TGV, and then about 1 hour by bus🚌 There is a free shuttle bus to the island, and you can also walk across (especially recommended at low tide!)🚶♀️ The key to success is to "check the low and high tide times before visiting"🌊 At high tide, it looks fantastic floating on the sea, and at low tide, you can feel like an adventure walking across. There is a fee to enter the monastery, but it is free for EU residents aged 18 to 25🎟️ My impression of the trip was "so moving that I forgot reality."
