Romania is all about surprising you! We spent 4 days there and visited the most unexpected places. Fun facts: their Parliament is the heaviest building in the world! We travelled from Bucharest to the Transylvania region to visit the famous Castle Peles and the castle where Wednesday series were filmed. We stayed in a beautifully revived hotel in the city centre with a beautiful spa!

I want to present you the most beauty country that you can visit, Romania is one of the cheapest yet the best choice if you like nature. There are plenty castles and attractions to visit and the food is amazing, you really need to try visiting this country and I bet you won’t regret it. The Bucegi mountains are ideal for day hikes, trail running, scrambling, and alpine climbing. They offer breathtaking views and a wide range of trails suitable for both beginners and experienced hikers. There are a few huts where you can sleep or eat a hot meal. Camping is not permitted in the Bucegi Natural Park, but there are a few mountain refuges where you can spend the night in the wilderness. Bucegi Mountains are located in the eastern part of Southern Carpathians. You can reach their base in 2 hours from Bucharest and less than 1 hour from Brasov. This makes them some of the most visited mountains in Romania.

Amazing place to be seen after a short walk trip through the forrest, more crowded in weekends but absolutely ok to be seen during the week if you are trying to find a nice spot into the mountains to recharge your batteries, to breath a little, to get out of the crowd 💕 I have been there many times but usually in weekends , on a rush, never enough space and patience to sit and look arround , but this time was different just because i decided to go there in a short afternoon, after work trip ☺️ Seing the place in a "normal" day took me by surprise in more different and good ways , i could explore the surroundings without rush and saw it with different eyes, taking back with me in the city all the good energies of a beautiful trip in the mountains ♥️

The cliff moss is the Sphinx base and the Babele drip-line: Racomitrium and Hylocomium on the wind-clipped conglomerate, Fissidens in the seep where the Sphinx "eyes" leak, and the cliff above the Heroes' Cross has Polytrichum in the alpine hollow—Bucegi plateau-moss is silver, glowing at 07:20 before the day-trippers. I stood at the Sphinx at 07:30, the moss cool, a raven on the head, Babele's mushrooms pink in low sun. Cable car closed Tuesdays for maintenance; cards at the Busteni booth, cash for the Babele chalet coffee. Mistake: I rode up at 10:00 and the plateau was a selfie scrum—07:00 cable car, first light only. I took at trip to Peles, Bran Castle & Brasov. I got a huge surprise when the castle used to film Wednesday the Netflix series was also on our itinerary! It was magnificent. The grounds were beautiful. So much to see and even got a photo taken in the hall of secrets. A lot of places to get photos with cast cutouts amazing! Even Lady Gaga! The rest of the trip was fabulous too!

What about some winter adventure? #europetrip Romanian mountainous regions are each winter covered in snow, offering a wide variety of leisure activities. If you don't practice skiing or snowboarding, but you would still like some engaging sports activities, hiking is the perfect choice. There is a wide variety of paths that you can choose from, depending on your physical level, but always keep in mind the 🐻 bears threat. Please always be cautious, travel in big groups, have the right equipment and be allert. A great choice for winter is a hike to Grecului Peak starting from Azuga and finishing the trail in Bușteni. The level difference is about 600m, and it requires a medium fitness level. It is recommended winter gear (microspikes, gaiters, and waterproof shoes). If you are not an experienced hiker, then my recommendation will be to choose an organized trip. There are many organized trips led by authorised mountain guides starting from Bucharest or other major cities that offer the transport as well. Usually, the trips occur during the weekend, and they are marketed for all levels of fitness. Enjoy!

Be aware of bears 🐻 Yes, maybe mountains and nature in general in Busteni is very beautiful but you have to keep in mind that there are lot of bears here. For your safety avoid hicking alone or without something to defend yourself. You can also try to have some local guide which will guide you to safe places. In general place is as beautiful as people-kind, warm (not a weather 😁) and full of new adventures!

A quick hike in the mountains near Busteni was exactly what I needed – fresh air, stunning views, and peaceful pine trails. The hiking infrastructure here is fantastic: well-marked routes for all fitness levels, a cable car for easy access to higher altitudes, and cozy mountain huts serving delicious local food (try the ciorbă soup – it’s a lifesaver after a long trek!).
