Believed to hold an ancient relic of true cross of jesus, this place is one of the must visit places for tourists visiting Tarlac region. There is a church, a huge statue of jesus as well as places to take rest and enjoy some food. It was my first time joining a local travel agency for a volcano tour. We gathered at 3:30 AM and set off, taking an hour-long drive to the visitor center. After switching to a jeep, we continued towards the volcano. The journey was extremely bumpy with water and mud roads. We got off at the point where the jeep could no longer proceed and started hiking. The one-way hike was 6 kilometers, with a professional guide leading each group and ensuring everyone's safety. Although the trail wasn't too difficult, beginners might need some time to adapt to the rocky and stream-filled path. After more than 2 hours of hiking, we finally reached the innermost crater lake. It was truly spectacular, and the weather was perfect. We were so lucky! This trip to the Philippines, arranged specifically for Mount Pinatubo, was absolutely worth it!
