The first site of the Spanish land restoration movement
The ruins of the old Andalusian town and the buildings erected after the Reconquista stand atop the hill of Alcalá Castle.
A true Andalusian town once stood on this strategically significant hill, featuring a main mosque, a castle, residential areas, and a market. After several archaeological activities, remains were discovered.
Some of the preserved ruins include the Church of the Mayor of Santa Maria, a Gothic-Renaissance church (16th-17th century), which, like other parts of the site, was abandoned in the 18th century when residents moved to the plains.
The castle is a sturdy walled structure with a triangular layout, rebuilt in the 16th century, with towers at its four corners, the 20-meter-high castle being particularly notable.
Within the walls, there are also extensive walls, towers (Prison Tower), and gates (Imagen Gate), making it one of the longest walls in Andalusia.

Is this a castle or a military fortress? A military fortress, right?

Stories of a Spanish Town

Everything beautiful in life starts as simple a idea. And just as most simple acts, taking the train from Jerez de la Frontera, a poor little town in the impoverished south of Spain to the nearby beach of Valdelagrana; a popular spot for tourists and locals alike seemed innocent enough at first.
What will follow in YOUR next seemingly unimportant decision is for you to discover. But when life gives you a train ticket, you better make it a Spanish fiesta!

[Spain] San Lucas Feria
This time, I will introduce the Feria that took place in Jaen, Andalusia.
A Feria is a kind of traveling amusement park. It has a variety of attractions, from roller coasters to haunted houses! This traveling amusement park travels around Spain in sequence, with Jaen being the final stop🎡🎢🎠
Entry is free, but the prices of attractions and food are set quite high. The Spanish way is to eat and drink at a bar before going to the venue✨
There is also something like a simple club inside the venue, and many people are enjoying drinks while dancing. It seemed to be especially lively in the middle of the night. As expected of Spain🇪🇸
