Oh my gosh! This is definitely one of my top 3 hotels in Thailand so far.
Cher Resort
This was seriously the most unexpected and amazing surprise of my entire Thailand trip!
When I was originally planning my itinerary,
I didn't pick this hotel due to my budget.
But then a typhoon hit Taiwan, so we flew to Thailand a day early.
Maybe because it was a last-minute booking,
the price I found was actually way cheaper than when I first planned the trip!
I booked it right away without a second thought,
and little did I know, it would turn out to be the absolute best decision I ever made.
When we arrived at the hotel,
the security guard at the entrance was incredibly friendly and warmly guided us on where to park.
They even helped us carry our luggage to the front desk for check-in.
The receptionist was also super detail-oriented, explaining all the hotel facilities and how to use them.
The moment I opened the door to our room, I was completely blown away.
You can look straight out the window at the ocean—it's so healing!
The room is super spacious,
and the bathtub is even big enough for two people to soak in at the same time.
A sofa bed, bathtub, bathrobes, beach slippers, a capsule coffee machine—it has everything you could possibly need.
They even provide a little woven bamboo tote bag, which is super thoughtful and handy for taking things to the pool and the beach!
But my absolute favorite thing
was the hotel's exclusive plushie pillow and the tiny potted plant that guests are allowed to take home.
I'm not exaggerating, I hugged that plushie all night long,
and I even spent time researching if I could actually bring the little plant back home.
(Spoiler alert: you can't.)
After checking out the room,
I couldn't wait to slip into my sandals and head down to the pool and the beach.
Cue another huge wow moment!
There are floating daybeds on the water, and the pool lighting is absolutely gorgeous.
It was right around dusk,
and lying there on a floating daybed watching the sunset...
Can time just stop for a second?
I originally thought it was a bit too late to go down to the beach and play in the water,
so I figured we'd go the next morning after breakfast.
Well, despite all my planning, the next morning turned out to be low tide!
It wasn't ideal and didn't look as pretty, so we could only hang out by the pool.
Because of this, I highly, highly recommend
checking in as early as possible,
so you can play in the water at the beach and catch the sunset before dusk!
Although breakfast the next morning wasn't as lavish as what you'd find at a five-star hotel,
it was still refined and delicious, with a few made-to-order options.
With that stunning ocean view, we ended up enjoying our breakfast for over an hour.
After breakfast, we went for a dip in the pool,
then headed back to the room to freshen up before checking out just before noon.
It was honestly a flawless stay.
Thailand is huge, and there are still so many places I want to visit.
I don't know if I'll ever make it back to Cha-am,
but if I do, I am 100% staying here again.
